From their friendly demeanor at the Building and Remodeling Show, to their patience with our one million questions, to their understanding as we shopped many other companies for price and product comparisons, to their promptness in keeping to the promised schedule, to the wonderful finished product, to their leaving the workspace clean, and finally to their willingness to perform one extra kindness (they polished a piece of leftover counter material for use as a hotpad), the people at Surface Solutions were easy to work with, professional, and pleasant. We love our new counters, and we highly recommend the company. Our only complaint is that their generic company name is hard to remember!

They were able to start within a few days. We were informed there would be a few down days while the drawers were being made. They kept to the schedule and were in and out in a week. We found the workman who was assigned our job to be extremely detail oriented and over all did a fantastic job. Mark, the owner, took my request for a removable frame for the microwave opening, and designed a hinged frame at no additional cost for us. We are delighted with it and entire refacing experience.

The experience was kind of average. The first guy they sent out was rude and abrasive. The project was not completed on time due outside issues. They damaged my kitchen floor, which they reimbursed me for the repairs. The owner of the company did make an effort to make good though.

Surface Solutions did a wonderful job on our project and we are very pleased with the final results. We worked primarily with three people at Surface Solutions - the sales person, the installer and the owner - and they were all very professional and skilled in their respective areas. Anytime we had a question about staying on schedule or how something looked they promptly addressed it which is the sign of a good company. The entire project took about three weeks. We would strongly recommend Surface Solutions to anyone doing a similar project.

The quality was good but they had to keep coming back because they didn't have what they needed to finish the job. I was the person who had to call them to get them to come back. There wasn't any follow up.

We set up our appointment after visiting with the salesman at the home improvement show at the coliseum. Shawn came out and showed us some samples and gave us a quote. We had 4 more estimates besides them. After getting all our estimates we had a few more questions for Shawn and had him come back, after we talked with him again we made our decision to use Surface Solutions to do our work. Wayne started on Monday morning with the refacing of the cabinets and destruction of the old counter tops. Tuesday and Wednesday more of the refacing and on Thursday morning he installed the new counter tops.

We got 3 estimates to do this project, all came within $200 of each other. We went with S.S. because they could do the project sooner and Phil, our contact rep. was very helpful and easy to work with. Phone calls were always returned promptly & we were given lots of options to work with. As a whole, the project went fairly well but several aspects of the work were sloppy & there was little oversight. We were led to believe that S.S. does their own granite work, when in fact, they subcontract it. We had to call several times to have mistakes corrected that should have been caught by a supervisor. The cabinet work was well done, but when the existing molding was removed, large portions of sheetrock tore off. Despite this, they still applied new smaller molding that left large, obvious gaps. We had to ask to have it removed so we could fix the finish ourselves after being told that. " They were not renovators". So be it...you get what you pay for, I suppose. Nice people, average work.
