Upon seeing the 6 inches of standing water, he announced that there was nothing he could do for us. He went on to explain that Premier West Bank was also flooded and that they took precedence as a customer. He also said that since Premier west was so important, he would not have the time to come back for us and gave me the number for someone else. The man whose number John gave me, came straight out the day I called and took care of our problem (our NEW plumber). He also informed us that for the past 5 years, Roto-Rooter has been snaking the wrong access (exterior). Apparently, the only way to clear the downstairs drain is to ACTUALLY COME INTO THE BASEMENT WITH A SNAKE AND USE IT ON THE DRAIN THAT IS CLOGGED... imagine that! I feel like Roto-Rooter owes us a refund of $89.00 x 4 service visits over 5 years = $356.00.
Description of Work: Last week my basement flooded, so I called Roto-Rooter as we have done 4 other times over the past 5 years since we've owned the house. In the past, Roto-Rooter employees never actually came into my house and only snaked the drains through an exterior access. This time, John Lindsay (manager) actually came into the basement.

First of all they were early... they told me they would try to get to it before 6 pm and ended up coming at about 1:30 pm. They said it was because they wanted to take care of us and get our water turned back on. John Lindsay, the manager, took the time to explain to me why the fittings were leaking. Apparently galvanized pipe and copper pipe should not be installed together. John took the time to explain all this and what they needed to do to fix it.
Description of Work: We had a leak in the wall of a bathroom (behind the sheet rock). The leak was caused by a rotted out galvanized nipple. They replaced it with copper pipe and fittings.
