Spa would not heat to optimum temperature. Technician came out and tested various areas in spa with an amp meter. After determining it was heater element he ordered one and installed when arrived. That service went well. One day later the spas jets would not work, the next day there was no power to spa as the circuit breaker tripped. Service tech came out again. He said spa circuit was bad so he bypassed to mail circuit board, spa still did work. After probing around where pump and circuit board are located he told me mother board needed replacement. Preference ordered board. I called my son who is a licensed electrician. First thing he said is spa techs cannot legally work on electrical systems that are outside their unit, only licensed electricians can. My son tested circuit breaker, it worked fine. He also looked at mother board testing the amps, it worked OK. After checking for loose connections he tested the spa and it worked. That was a few weeks back and it still works fine. I honestly believe tech thought mother board didn't work. Bottom line is it's smart to have a licensed electrician look at it. It saved me approx $350.
