Description of Work: NEVER SHOWED UP AND CALLED

Description of Work: Replaced the hot water heater. Left everything very clean and tidy. Communicated before and after the job. I would recommend Tom for any plumbing job in Central Oregon.

Description of Work: We have bought an older (1946) house. The kitchen sinks were draining slowly so we called to have the drains snaked. Tom told us he had a job to do the next morning and could take care of us after that. He said he'd call when he finished the other job, should be around 10 AM. He called at 10:05 to let us know he was on his way and would be there in 20 minutes. He showed up on time and started checking out the situation. He got his snake and started to work. While he was working, we discussed the house we had bought. It turned out he was familiar with the house and told us a couple of things we weren't aware of. He pointed out that the older house was not designed for a garbage disposal and the drain pipe was level with its output. That would cause "slow" draining and we should expect it. I asked him about changing it and he said it could be done in a couple of hours. He gave me a reasonable estimate if we ever decide to do it in the future. While we had him there, we talked about replacing the 2 toilets. He checked them out and said they were newer toilets and didn't need to be replaced. A simple "repair kit" would take care of the issues. He told me what model to get at Bi-Mart to fix the problems, and said he could do it if I wasn't comfortable replacing them. Before he left, he walked around the property and showed us where the sewer cleanout should be. The area is covered by snow and leaves at the moment so we didn't look, but I appreciated the information. We showed him the hot water heater and discussed whether we should consider replacing it, since it is electric and I know gas is more cost effective. He gave us some tips on replacing the hot water heater and talked about the different options (gas and tankless) and explained the cost and benefits of each. I will definitely call him for any future plumbing work we need in the future and would highly recommend him to anyone that needs plumbing work done.
