Description of Work: We bought an older house (1946) and knew it needed some work. The chimney for the living room had some had some loose/missing bricks at the cap, pointed out by our pre-purchase inspector. The gas insert was also missing and we went to a fireplace store to see about getting a replacement. We asked about somebody to repair the chimney and they gave us Nathan's business card. What a find. He came out and gave us a very reasonable estimate to repair the chimney. We also talked about the fireplace hearth and he gave us an estimate on matching it up to the outside "stacked stone" pillars. He and his partner arrived on time and started working on the chimney. It turned out he had to do a lot more work than he expected, but did it all and did it at the same price quoted. He also repaired the flashing around the chimney while he was at it. then he started on the fireplace hearth. It turned out better than we could have imagined. His attention to detail led us to ask about him doing a tile entry for the room. We bought the supplies and he did the work, and at a lot less expense than we had been quoted by others. We couldn't be happier. I've added pictures of the before, during and after. What a difference. I'd recommend he and use him again for any work I need done.
