I couldn't have asked for any better. They were completely professional, on time and worked diligently in the rain until the job was completed. They brought a "cherry picker" to reach some of the high areas they couldn't climb to. They cleaned up nicely afterwards. All of this and they had the best bid also. I will definitely be using them again next time.

We had three huge fir trees removed in a very tiny space and the crew was out of this world. They worked so hard from the time they started to when they left. Everyone was super conscientious and had incredible work ethic and integrity. They were truly wonderful to work with and I cannot recommend them more highly. They were courteous, did everything they said they would do and in a timely manner. They went above and beyond and our neighbors were very impressed with them as well. They were incredibly professional and answered all of our questions all the way through the process thoroughly. We really enjoyed our experience with this wonderful team! Anthony, Josh, Derrick, Adrian, Ethan and Jason and their crane operator Brendan from Smith Cranes are the team for your tree needs, you can't go wrong with them. A 10 our of 10 for sure!

The tree was shaped perfectly. A Japanese Maple in the back yard was also trimmed away from the roof.

Curtis and his crew did an excellent job of seasonal trimming of a large maple, pruned a hedge, pruned a Japanese maple, and cut back to tje fence a seriously overgrown English ivy that was taking over the fence. They also emptied and dismantled an old garden shed and hauled away the debris from all the work. My yard needed general cleanup as well, and Curtis pulled in a yard guy he knew personally to do that. This is altogether a great company to work with. I’ve dealt with a numbEr of different tree services, this is the only one I will ask for a return visit next year!

I recommend this firm highly. Their communication, estimate, tree removal and site clean up was exceptional. We had our massive western red cedar removed from between two houses (within 10 feet of both), with a hot tub on one side and a garden shed on the other and all beneath and next to power lines. The job required both a crane and a bucket truck and surgical precision by the entire crew. Not one mistake made, not one item damaged. The property looked immaculate when they were done. I had 7 estimates for this job, none of the others were as thorough, understanding the difficulties the site created. They weren't the cheapest, but they earned every dime on this job. I rate Wind Thin A+++

Wind Thin did an excellent job removing a large walnut tree from our property. Arranging for the service--including getting an assessment of the work and cost estimate--was efficient and professional. WT's technical expertise and equipment was just what we needed, since half the tree overhung a building. They removed the tree and stump, cut the usable wood to our requested length and cleaned up the area. They even moved a small portion of the wood to another location down the street--to save me that extra work. I highly recommend WT for tree service jobs, big and small.

I hired Wind Thin to thin out a large west-facing tree with significant canopy. They also removed a roughly 30 ft. Monkey Puzzle tree, and ground out two significant stumps. Their certified arborist did a fantastic job coming up with a plan to thin the canopy of the large tree for safety (ours) and health (of the tree). They used a combination of bucket truck and climbing to get the job done during the time they committed to, including the additional tree removal and stump grinding of two other trees. Their staff were communicative (good job Adrian estimating the job), and incredibly professional. Their cleanup was exceptional. Additionally, they were the most competitive quote we received. I would absolutely hire again in a heartbeat!

WindThin Tree Service has worked on our property several times starting in 2016 and most recently, in May of 2019. We have consistently had exceptional service and experiences with Curtis and his crew and would highly recommend them as a trusted resource. Unfortunately, we have several Cedars that are dying on our property due to the drought-like conditions from 2012, which stressed our trees and makes them susceptible to bugs and funguses. Curtis and his team performed an evaluation to try and maintain the health of our trees, but we still lost around 10 big cedars to date, which were carefully and safely removed by WindThin. In addition, we have a huge hedge of 50+ year-old Laurel that lines around 200 feet of our land and WindThin did an excellent job re-shaping and cutting them so they’ll be much more manageable to maintain in the future. Again, we were very happy with the professional level of service, fair pricing and overall high quality of care Curtis and his team provided and would highly recommend them to neighbors, friends or family in need of tree services.

I received 3 quotes for the tree removals, and Curtis(owner) beat out the other two. The other companies sent out employees, not the owners, so I appreciated Curtis showing up. He was friendly, informative, professional and easy to talk to. Devon and Peggy in the office were a pleasure to do business with, as well. I ask a lot of questions, so I notice when people grow tired of them, and they didn’t. The Oak was denied removal by the city, but Curtis and Wind Thin appealed that and got the removal permit for us! Mad props for that. Only hiccup, a small one, was damage to my fence during the Oak removal. Curtis notified me as soon as it happened, we talked about it and I was compensated. Accidents happen, so no worries. I highly recommend going with Wind Thin.

These guys were amazing. Removed a 70 year-old silver maple in minimal time. Competitively priced. I highly, highly recommend them. Incidentally, I used an "Angie's List Recommended" company to prune the same tree a year prior and had a horrible experience. Consider the fact that these companies pay Angie's List to promote their companies and that is why they rank higher on the list....not always b/c they perform a better service. At least, that was my experience.

Wind Thin was hired to come and assess a Cherry Tree at a property that we opened a daycare at. They recommended keeping the tree as the health was still great and suggested a good pruning. We were able to schedule us the following week.

They completed all the work that was requested on the estimate in one day. As with the first time I used this business, they were excellent!

Very well. The tree was just 3 feet from my foundation and was contributing to problems there. Six hard working pros with a huge crane did just what I needed toward solving my problem. They were on time, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. They also took care of the permit which I really appreciated. And all for a good price.

The entire operation went extremely well. The men were very thorough and professional and not only took down the hazard tree with care but also cleaned up every bit of debris. the pruning of the front elm reshaped the tree and took away overhanging limbs. They were very careful with the large equipment such that our lawn was undamaged. They deserved every bite of the box of Voodoo Donuts we brought for them

Wind Thin has always been a wonderful company. The crew is always punctual and polite. We value their opinions and as a result have beautiful, healthy trees in our yard. We are grateful for the work that they have done for us for the past several years. We will continue to hire them for all of our tree care.

Left a message. Several hours later got a call from Peggy saying someone would be out in 2 days. If I wasn't home, they would email me the estimate. Waited 5 days. Email never came. Called - left a message. Several hours later Peggy called back. She had no memory of my first call. Said she would have to review the paperwork when she got back to the office and call me back. She never called. I called her the next day. Again I had to leave a message and it was several hours before Peggy called me back. She said, "He never called you? I will call you right back." Peggy never called me back. No one called me. I never received the estimate.

It didn't go, they would come out for less than $350.

I had the same experience as the Angie's List member on 8/3/17. Gentlemen was very professional, on-time and knowledgeable who came out to ***** our needs. He stated he would have a written estimate to me that evening which was about two weeks ago. As of today's date after following up with a phone message and several emails - I was told they were checking on it - I still never received a written estimate. As the other Angie's List member stated - I also dont allow work to be done on our property without a written estimate. Not sure what happened on their end.

I had issues with this one. They were responsive to the big deal, and a quick response right away. When I went out of town for like one week, I called them and got no answer. I couldn't get a hole of them, or no message. There is a guy there, and I got his phone number from some place,and I had to kick him in his pants to get this thing going. It was many weeks. It was very frustrating. The guy I actually worked with was ok. It was the other players involved in the office that wasn't very responsive. They were a day late. They came the wrong day. I wanted to be home when they were here, and my mother was here. I was at the office, and I had to rush home. It was unexpecting. He had a two guys, a young guy for tree stump grinding. He did the front area, and wan't done the way I wanted it done, it was ok, but not the way I wanted it done. I was kind of there, and told them how I wanted it done. They kind of was able to finish it all correctly at that point.

We were going to hire them, but after 5 attempts at getting a written estimate from them we gave up. So disappointing, the guy that came out to look at the tree seemed very knowledgeable and, I think, gave us some really good advice about the tree. But I won't hire someone with out A WRITTEN ESTIMATE. Very disappointed.

After rescheduling of original appointment (which was no problem) I was told would have an estimate after the weekend. This didn't happen. I waited several days to allow for busy season before calling for status. Very apologetic response assuring me would be remedied. Waited another week and called again to advise I still hadn't received estimate. Was told she would call me back after their meeting that day. Nope, no callback or email. That was two days ago. I'm giving up. Too bad, judging from other folks good reviews, I really wanted to give them a chance.
