 + -1 moreBen Hayes determined that the leak was owing to >100 year old iron pipes supplying water to upstairs. Replaced all the water pipes from the cellar to the upstairs bathroom. Job did not include repairing plaster. Did the job when we were out of town. Came in under estimate because drain pipes were not leaking. Very pleasant and professional.
Description of Work: Slow leak in the upstairs bathroom destroying the ceilings downstairs.

 + -1 moreI had done some of the preliminary work and had purchased the parts so that factored into the cost savings. Ben was running a little late but texted me several times to keep me informed of that so I didn't consider that a problem. He apologized on arrival for being late. He was professional but friendly. He was very clean in the work area and with his tools. I was very interested in how he was going to fix the part where I got stuck and he was gracious in talking through what he was doing so that I could learn. I'm thrilled to know of an excellent plumber for the next time I need one.
Description of Work: Upstairs bathroom sink was slow drain. I had disassembled to clean out but the space to reattach drain to sink was small cutout in thick plywood and I didn't have the tools to do that. Also worried the rest of pipe to drain needed to be snaked because the sections I had were over 75% blocked with debris. Ben, of Weekend Plumber, admired the disassembly :-) and then snaked the pipe into the wall to clear that out and reassembled everything.
