Great. The table was ready for pickup in less than two weeks, ready to be sanded.
Description of Work: They stripped the old finish off of a solid maple table, with pedestal base, that we wanted to refinish.

Description of Work: Stripped an antique, round table. Tim carefully removed and preserved one of two paper labels on the underside (the other one was not salvageable). Worth a trip |just to see his antique coffee tins.

Description of Work: Tim and Debby stripped all the cabinets in my kitchen and they look gorgeous! I can't rave enough. Plus, they are witty and eccentric in the best way. We'll be sending all of our trim their way, as soon as we get through sanding and staining what we have.

It went very well. The door was finished earlier than the date promised and was clear of over 80 years worth of paint. The fir door was left in excellent shape, plus they gave me advice on what products to use on it.
Description of Work: Timby's stripped multiple layers of paint from an exterior door.

Tim and Debby did great work and were a pleasure to work with. Tim answered all of my questions via phone prior to drop-off, and again in person. No bait-and-switch in terms of services or pricing. My items were done before promised, and Tim was great in giving me advice in what prep work I needed to do on my end prior to repainting and restaining my pieces.
Description of Work: Stripped two interior door and all hardware; two cabinet doors; one heat vent cover. All had 65+ year worth of painted layered on them.

Timby's did a nice job of removing the majority of the paint from all the pieces we brought them. They also stripped the paint from the hardware and removed the locks and cleaned them up too for a small additional charge. There was very little paint left in the crevices and the pieces were really close to being stain-ready when we got them back. There was one broken pane on a window, which they replaced. And most of the glazing on the windows needs to be replaced, but we were warned about this up front and we chose to go ahead and have them stripped. We are very satisfied with our experience working with Timby's and recommend them to others.
Description of Work: We took in quite a few bedroom doors, built-in china cabinet doors, windows and built-in bookcase doors from our 1912 Craftsman home. We are in the process of stripping down the woodwork in our house back to stain grade and have hired Timby's help us with all the pieces that can be easily removed from the house. The rest is being stripping in place with lots of labor, time and chemicals.

Debby and Tim dipped the two old doors, removing the knobs, hinges, etc. and cleaning them separately. Tim even found skeleton keys that matched the locks in our doors, which he sold to us for next to nothing! All we had to do was re-assemble the doors and re-hang them (which our contractor did, in this case). The following month, they stripped our old heater vent, which had been painted over through the years. Tim even recommended a particular antiquing kit which I could buy at Lowe’s to finish it myself. You can tell Tim and Debby enjoy their work, which is a second career and seems to be a labor of love. My main contact was Tim, who knows a lot about antiques and miscellaneous procedures. He is a great resource! I cannot recommend this company enough! They provide great service at low prices, and are personable and easy to work with!
Description of Work: We called on Timby's DipStrip when we needed layers of lead paint stripped from two doors of our 1924 house during a remodel and didn't want to expose ourselves to the lead or the harsh chemicals this would have entailed. Please note that Tim and Debby do not refinish furniture or fixtures. They often can, however, refer you to good places that do, or good products that you can use to refinish these items yourself.
