The bids ranged from $32,000 to $14,800. TMix didn't bid, but told us that we didn't need a new roof...there is plenty of life in the old one! We had a small leak in the side door overhang area. It had already been repaired by another roofer before we talked with TMix but we asked him to come out and take a look. He was here yesterday and came in the house to take a look at the ceiling bubbles, then went up on the roof. When he finished, he showed us photos of the area. He believed that the leak was coming from a vent or the plumbing pipe and carefully sealed and put new granules in those areas. He showed us where the other roofer had made repairs but Todd (TMix) said they weren't made in the right location. We are thrilled with Tmix. Not only did Todd save us from spending approx. $15K on a new roof not needed at this time, but he did the proper repair. When it is time to replace the roof, TMix will do the job for us.
Description of Work: We were considering installing a new roof and received at least 6 bids from various contractors.

Seemed to go fine; however, it did not take repair person very long to fix. For the seemingly simple job, the price seemed quite high.

TMix had done our roof 6 years earlier for the prior owner of the house, shortly before we closed on the sale. When I discovered a leak, I called them. I figured they know the roof . I had also hoped that they would do the repair at a decent price. (I was expecting to be charged because technically the warranty period is over. It may not even have transferred to us as the new owners anyways). They came out within a week to have a look - totally friendly with zero mention of the warranty situation. Todd checked the situation, saw that the vent pipe had come lose and fixed the problem at zero charge. Needless to say I am thrilled! It is one thing to do something free of charge if your own workmanship has caused the problem - but to do it when the plumber has caused the issue is above awesome. Very happy customer.
Description of Work: TMix had a look at the flashing around our bathroom vent because we had a leak. It turned out that the flashing was perfect but the pipe itself had come lose. They fixed the problem at no charge.

We placed an offer on an older home in Beaverton last winter. Mold was identified in attic which are indicative of potential need of roof replacement. I called T-Mix for an estimation. Their quote is comparable to other roofers in the area without tour. What I really appreciated was their going out of way to give the virtual tour via a photo of the listing property. By collecting information from me and viewing the copy of the photo of the house, they gave the free estimates and recommendations, knowing that we may not end up placing an order from them. It took time and patience for them to do all of these to me. They did not appear to be the and quot;all mightyand quot; contractor, but rather friendly professionals who cares about what the customer need just like their own. When it came to a question that is out of their service scope, they always referred me to another professional who served us in the same style. We did not replace the roof- the deal did not go through. We were glad that we did not rush into that house. T-Mix timely inputs really helped a great deal. I would definitely consider T-Mix in the future or recommend them to people in need of roof services.

We were selling our house and discovered we needed a new roof during the inspection period. Despite having 2 other bids at better prices and with better materials/warranties the buyers insisted that T Mix do the work to re-roof our house. T Mix was given a number of days over a 3 week period in which the work could be done and were told that the other days were not available. The work was to take 2 days. On the first day, which was over half way through the period when they could have done the work, we came home to find that they had beat up our gutters on the 2 sides of our home where they did roof. They left one of the gates in our back yard open when they left and our dog got out. On the second day (which was a day they were told the house was not available) they showed up at 7:30 AM. I didn't say anything about the fact they weren't supposed to be there, and changed our plans to be away from the house (I have a young child and we were home on vacation). We came home to rounds of staples having been shot into our siding, and a water stain across our bedroom ceiling (it was pouring down rain that day) as well as more damage to the gutters. I called T Mix and did get a call back from the owner who scheduled time to come out the next day to look at the damage. On the 3rd day which was a Saturday, the roofers showed up again at about 7:30. I shared with them that there was water damage and they insisted it was from taking off the flashing around our chimney. It was expected to be raining heavily that day and it started as soon as they got on the roof.. They proceeded to tear off our roof and re-roof without ever covering anything up with tarps. My husband went out and took video of this. As we were having coffee water stains appeared in our dining room ceiling. We checked our attic, and it was full of water. In the end, we ended up with staining across 3 ceilings, stapes in our siding every 2 feet, and all of our gutters needing to be repainted (the house had been painted the year before). When Todd, the owner came out, he looked around, took pictures of the damage, and told us he didn't want to talk to us about it and wanted to talk to the buyer's agent. We asked him to speak to our agent first. As we understand it, he never talked to our agent. Additionally, T Mix diid not repair the damage. The new owners, first time buyers, ultimately took it on and let T Mix off the hook. Additionally, T Mix was told we would be paying for our portion of the roof directly. They sent the bill to us directly to pay and then sent the bill through escrow to be paid with closing. If you are considering using T Mix, run! They don't do what they say they will, make bad decisions, and don't take care of the damage they cause.

Husband / wife team seem to manage the business which is nice because there was someone to answer the calls and faciliate the quote. The quote repsonse was super timely and competitive. This was just a repair which you expect to be rather challanging for companies to servie profitably. Howerver, they slipped the work in on a Saturday mid-day, called me a day and advance to confirm and a team of four guys came out, where well equipped and did a nice job.

I got three bids for my work and T Mix was in the middle of the three bids. I checked with other customers of T Mix and decided to use them. I used Royal Gutters based on their recommendation. I did have to call T Mix Detailing two times and ask them if they were going to send me a bid, this took up 7-10 day of waiting time. Once I had accepted their bid the materials started arriving and job got under way. I found their work satisfactory.
Description of Work: T Mix Detailing removed all roofing and gutters and installed new plywood, tarpaper, shingles and flashing. Also installed 11 new air vents. T Mix had a subcontractor (Royal Gutters, Inc.) install the new gutters and down spouts.

We had the roof done. Todd came in with an excellent bid. We upgraded to algae resistent composite and had the tool shed roof redone also. During the teardown they found that the sky light was leaking and after consulting us they bought and installed a new skylight. they performed the exact service they bid. the work was completed timely and the clean up was also done completely. All involved did a very good job.

I spent $7750 on their services. They were able to figure out the other problem and they were really fabulous. I think the price was pretty reasonable. Everybody that I'd talked to said that they were right. My friends have used them. They were recommended to me by a friend and then I recommended them to someone else. So they've all been very pleased. I will absolutely use their services again in the future.

Todd came on short notice (same or next day) and repaired a roof leak in our old 1906 house. Our roof is ready for replacement in about the next three years and has 3 layers. The leak was around the chimney and came into our upstairs closet. Todd added flashing to the side of the chimney with the leak, as apparently that side was missing entirely. Todd is professional and prompt. He is responsible to phone calls and his wife is always friendly on the phone back at their office. Todd is a pleasure to work with and we hope to use him for our roof replacement job in the future.

Old roof had a couple spots that leaked. Three or four different roofers/contractors had attempted, unsuccessfully, and by several different means over the course of a year or so, to seal the leak. The roof actually looked fine from the outside. The estimator (Todd?) who came out stated that it was not apparent (from exterior visual inspection) that I needed a new roof at all. I greatly appreciated his honesty--that he hesitated to sell me a roof I might not really need. I explained the history and my reason for deciding to re-roof vs. making more attempts at 'patching.' Roofing job was performed on schedule, in timely fashion. A couple concerns/disappointments were 1) There are various places where roofs emerge from the side of the house (e.g. over porches). Apparently there was no flashing at one of these areas where a porch roof emerged from the stucco siding. I agreed to the proposed solution which involved installation of a 20+ ft long piece of 1 X 4 cedar to serve as "flashing" of sorts, which the top edge of the roof could be "tucked under" (my layman's terminology). The crack/space between the 1 X 4 cedar board and the stucco siding was sealed by generous application of sealants/adhesives. I am disappointed with the appearance of the board (it is not horrible, but its appearance is not as "clean" as the other siding/roof junctions). I am also concerned that his new arrangement could be a maintenance hassle--the sealant requiring careful monitoring, and the board possibly requiring "extra" painting(?). It seems odd that this one section did not have flashing, while various similar areas do have proper flashing. I wonder if the crew possibly missed some "hidden" flashing--but I have to admit the house is 100+ years old, and I certainly do not know all its history. Minor disappointment # 2: the invoice included a note that my "Chimney is in need of mortar flashing," but there was no clarification as to whether or not this was a service T Mix might offer (I assumed not), nor any recommendation/suggestion of someone to do this flashing. I hired another contractor to do it. Minor disappointment/surprise #3: the dozens of old, original roofing nails that I had to pick up from the yard over the course of days/weeks/months after the roof was done. Overall, though, the roof was completed on schedule and for a very reasonable price (estimate was second-lowest estimate received). The now-2-year-old roof looks great, and there have been no signs of any leaks.
Description of Work: Removed 2 layers of roofing, installed 1/2 inch plywood, 30# felt, new metal roof vents, metal flashing, and architectural shingles. Replaced/upgraded several older sections of steel gutter.
