Synergy/Lovett helped us after a major plumbing failure flooded three floors of our house. They were great — showed up promptly, got right to work and tackled the job thoroughly and with superb communication and consistent COVID precautions. The two main guys we worked with were Jeremy Petty on the front end and then Stuart Babicky — both get high marks for their care and professionalism. We’ll definitely consider Synergy for future remodel work, and we highly recommend them.

The workmanship and quality is excellent. The only negative I would give them is with communication. We had to contact them several times on different things and they were slow to respond.

A water line broke in the ceiling of our family room and ran for a couple of hours before we got home. I called Synergy and within two hours they had a crew here to start the drying process, which involved fans and removing sheetrock, insulation, carpet padding and underlayment. The drying took about three days. I then hired Synergy to do the restoration work. They also worked directly with my insurance carrier to document the claim for me. Their crews were respectful, courteous and always listened to and addressed our concerns. The quality of their work was superior - they always made sure the work was done correctly. Manny, Steve, Boris and Lupe were all great to work with. I would definitely recommend Synergy. I cannot rate the price because I did not seek any other bids, but they seemed to be fair in their pricing and were accepted by the insurance company.

They got the house ready for the restoration company in no time. This happened during the Christmas holidays and right after a record rainfall caused widespread damage, too. Professional, clean, cat friendly. We would have used them for the reconstruction, but they were too busy getting houses rainproof quickly before another big storm was coming.

Nolan, lead guy, arrived every day to work and check numbers to change out drying mats for hardwood floor, humidifiers, etc. Steve was also good and James came one day, a young, pleasant guy. Nolan assured me that the hardwood floor coloring would go away and it did! Truly amazing! For sure.
Description of Work: Dried out walls in basement due to 1100 gallons of water that leaked from upstairs toilet supply coming loose from 0030 - 0530 8/29/15. Took off molding, arranged for asbestos abatement in upstairs bathroom, dried out newly finished hardwood floors in kitchen.

Where do I start? I referred synergy restoration to dry out my family members home. The technicians that came out didn't know what the equipment did or how the process with an insurance claim went. I was concerned at that point. I called the mitigation manager the next day and explained to him the situation and he said he would get back to me. Never did. The adjuster to the insurance company has now stepped in and is helping because we are now on day 13 of drying when synergy said 3-5 days. They didn't cover anything when they were doing demo and refuse to clean it up. They didn't plug any vent holes so the debris is still in the vents. The 6 thousand dollar stove that was 1 year old is covered with debris and is scratched and has cabinets sitting on it. They didn't scribe the baseboards when they took it off so it pulled the texture off everywhere. The tile in the hall bathroom was covered with water but synergy tech Nolan said it should be fine. They were still looking for moisture on day 9. This is absolutely ridiculous. Now, we have to fix all of it. Synergy won't respond to phone calls. It's sad that this has happened as I see on here such great reviews. Makes me truly think that people they know are on here writing about them to steer others opinions. I will never use them again.

[member name removed] We apologize that this project was some to your satisfaction. I will disagree with you on our lack of returned phone calls. Myself or one and sometimes two of our staff spoke to you almost every day of this project. We always returned your calls. I agree that when you would call my phone then speak to one or two other at our office on the same day I considered the matter resolved and personally did not call you back. I am aware that we did stop working on the project after it appeared we would not be able to complete it in the way you felt it should have been some. We are very conscientious about our work and I am sorry that our processes were different from places you have worked in the past We attempt to do every project in the most professional manner and I am sorry that we were unable to process this job in manner that you preferred Again, I am sorry that we were unable to work together on this project I truly hope you can find someone to assist you in finishing this project

If Angie's list has grade H, I'll give them a H on Responsiveness & Professionalism. The reason they got a "D" on Quality & Punctuality is saved by the restore team, especially the honesty of Boris, the restore team supervisor (team leader). To make the story short, as I run into this company thru my insurance agent, not thru Angie's list directly. Right from the beginning, I was being manipulated or they are very UN-knowledgeable. They made so many mistakes, from quotes to dates to teamwork, that is unbelievable. The most unbearable behaviors were the way they treated us. Here are some examples: 1. the tear down team left claiming that they were done, leaving the ceiling with a big hole. They claimed they don't know when the restore team will be able to come. Then they left tools in my house claiming that their van was too small, so they have to come back later, but won't know when. They said it so lightly that show no respect to our time, as my tenant (who live in that house) had to take time off from work again to let them in. 2. I called to complain that they did not prepared the restore simultaneously before they tear down the ceiling, then the co-coordinator had the nerve to tell me that "if you don't like it, you have a choice to find someone else, you know". That was the most unprofessional customer service I ever seen. She obviously don't care how much time it cost me and how much inconvenience to my tenants if I have to find someone else when there was a big hole in the ceiling? The worst part was that she talked down to me, as if I was giving her trouble, so she told me that she will be happy to refer me to someone else to finish the job. Common sense tells me that for the way she treated me why would I trust her with her referral??? 3. Then when I talked to the tear-down estimator, I asked to talk to their manager, but he claimed that the owner and no manager were not in the office & "they" don't know when they will be there. That's funny, their company slogan is "Achieving greater results through teamwork", but they don't know what the other depts. are doing. In #1 they already said they don't know when "the other dept" will be there, and then now they said they don't know where & when their managers will be in the office. Strange enough, after I hung up with him, I called back to see if I can leave the office manager a message, I was transferred to her immediately. Either the estimator doesn?t know what he was doing, or he lied. 4. Talked about manipulation, the office manager told me that they did not scheduled me for the restoring job because they don't know how much it will be until they tear down the ceiling. I thought that is why it is called an "estimate". Then she claimed because they have so many jobs (around 40 always), running in the same time, so they have to put me back in line after I signed the quote for the restore portion. By now, my dear tenants are without their living/dining room for 2 weeks already. She claimed she will have to have the restore team call me later, but she can't guarantee when, as they were VERY BUSY, it might be another 2 weeks. At this time, I was extremely mad and I told her that if she does not call them to give me a date (which I would be happy with any date so I know what to tell my tenants) I'm not willing to give them any down payment for the restore part. I got a call within an hour from their restore team supervisor/team-leader. This nice young man told me that he was happy to get the order, as his team was not busy and they can be at my house 8:30am next morning, if that's ok with my tenant. Finally someone is honest and happy to work. 5. They overcharged and made so many mistakes on their quotes. They first caught their own mistake, then when the insurance adjustor showed up, the first thing he told me was the measurement this company gave me was wrong and he had the estimator re-do the quote (of course lower than what they want to charge me). Then the adjustor asked was the project completed. I told him no and he said the restoration quote's date was wrong too (which I already told them before but they ignored me, or if they understand what they did wrong at all). These are just summary of what they have done, but the details are no way I can explain in this article that possibly show how frustrated and confused my tenants & I were dealing with these people. Like I said, the only team we really appreciated was the restore team, as they were prompt, polite and did beautiful work.
