Excellent, my chairs were very worn, but solid. I went there and looked at fabric, great selection, they ordered and the job was complete in 6 days. The chairs are better than they were when new. Great craftsmen. Very happy!

These guys are fast and do a fantastic job! Were able to accurately bid and estimate fabric needs via phone, picked up and delivered for reasonable fee.

It was a fantastic experience. The team was friendly and efficient, the workmanship was excellent, and the price easily beat the other upholstery shops I called. I plan to go back to Starky Phan II.

We have two Lazy Boy recliner chairs that we really like but my husband can be very h****** the upholstery. His chair was starting to look like it had been attacked by a herd of feral cats. I contacted Starkey Phan by phone about having these chairs re-upholstered. He asked for a photo of the chairs and with the same day contacted me with an estimate for the services and how much material would be required. When I told him I wanted to go ahead with his services he gave me a number of options of where I could look for material, including his shop. His help was greatly appreciated and we were able to find a place to purchase the material at a significant discount. When we dropped the chairs off at his shop the estimated time to complete the work was three weeks, however they were completed in just a little over two weeks. The chairs look wonderful, actually better than new. He included some fine detail work that was not on the originals. He was easy to work with and I will definitely use him again.

It was amazing. Very fast and friendly service. Well made and super comfy. My furniture looks so good and it was only a matter of days. And when they delivered the finnished product they even moved the replacement couch back to its room. Can't say enough about how great Starky Phan II Upholstery is.

Called to schedule a consultation to have sofa reupholstered. They are near the Portland airport. I love 30 minutes away in west linn. They acted like I was 1 hour away or more. This was going to be an expensive job using leather on my huge sectional custom sofa. He asked me to send an email because they didn't want to drive to my house to make some money. Would not use them or refer them. Very lazy!

This is a family business that has served Portland for 40 years. Jason scheduled pick-up and delivery twice and was on time, polite and efficient each time. His mother cuts and sews the fabric and his father does the upholstery. Jason said it would take a month, but it was less than two weeks. He also told me what it would cost to upholster each piece of furniture. I had gotten bids from two other recommended shops. The prices were about the same for all three. I was tired of my 30+ year old furniture, but couldn't find anything new that was good quality or had fabric we like. I was dumbfounded when I saw my furniture. The work is perfect. The piping and all the fitting is exquisite. Now our old furniture looks better than new, with fabrics we chose. I decided to have them do my office furniture as well. It is really unbelievable how great everything looks. I wish I had more pieces for them to do!

We decided rather than purchase new furniture to have a 10 year old loveseat/Chair set re-upholstered. There were two options:1) Purchase the fabric ourselves and then find an upholstering expert or 2) Have Ethan Allen do the whole thing. After comparing prices, we decided on the former. Starky Phan was very highly recommended and also submitted the lowest price. When it came time to pick up the furniture they carried both items down some very steep stairs without complaint. We were advised that it could take up to 4 - 5 weeks for the work to be completed so you can imagine how surprised we were when it took about 15 days. The results were wonderful. The quallity of the work superb. You couldn't find nicer people to work with.

They were extremely fast (about 12 days) and were able to get them both done to fit in with a family visit. They were professional and knowledgeable and even saved me some money by suggesting we use the existing seat cushions but wrap them to make the seats more comfortable. I provided my own fabric and they used less than expected which was a nice bonus. The chairs are holding up well although they're not heavily used - they've maintained their tight tufting and look great. i'll be going back with another one too! I also impressed that they called me back promptly when I left them a message and it was easy to schedule a drop off and pick up time. Theyre open on a Saturday which some others aren't.

They completed the job in 2 days like they said. Cushions now offer great support. The young man who helped me was pleasant and very helpful. Would definitely use them again.

They gave a fair estimate on the rebuilding of the chair. The delay was due to our difficulty choosing and obtaining the fabric. The chair was finished when expected and exceeded our expectations.

I had a great experience working with Starky Phan. They have a family run business and I mostly dealt with Huy a very responsive, professional young man. They were so busy that I had to wait for 6 weeks before they could take on my project but they were worth the wait! They did a beautiful job of coordinating things; picking up the furniture so they could precisely make the cushions as my furniture was curved. The upholstered job was very detailed and beautiful. They matched stripes, hid zippers, created the cushions so that they were interchangable. I am very pleased and will definitely use this business for future projects. I highly recommend them!

I found them on Angie's List. So far my experience has been positive, but I had to get on a waiting list to have them upholster a chair. They were busy. Then I got delayed because I couldn't find fabric. He has been really helpful. I have been to his place to look at fabric and he told me a few other places to go look at fabric at. He has been very good and he is going to pick up the chair when I am ready.

Excellent service and work on chair. First selected fabric from nice selection of fabric choices, fabric was ordered, then I delivered chair. Chair was reupholstered and ready for pickup in 5 weeks total, from selection of fabric to completion of work! I would certainly use again!

Great job. Initially confusing to contact them but it worked out. Family shop, friendly and competent. They estimated 6 yards of fabric and re upholstered the chair restrung the spring cushion bottom recovered 6 button on top part of chair and placed nice cording and pleats on the chair. Also made arm sleeves and returned remainder of fabric which can be used for matching cushion. Chair looks better than we expected.

The finished pillows were perfect - just the size I wanted and they looked like they were the originals -- same piping and a zipper if I need to remove the stuffing to clean the pillow.

They gave me an estimate of costs the same day I sent photos in, then picked up the items and did the work very promptly (under 2 weeks). They did an excellent job for a very fair price, and were a pleasure to work with. I'm delighted to have found them. Highly recommend.

We had several estimates for our work, and Starky Phan was the most reasonable and most highly recommended. I took in pictures of the 2 wing back chairs and ottoman that needed reupholstering, and they gave me a bid and a date. The work was done in just over a week, and it was meticulously done. We purchased our material elsewhere, so the cost is labor only. They were a joy to work with, and it was well worth the drive across town. I am extremely particular, and I would never use anyone else after our positive experience!

I met with We a couple times before having our couch taken to their shop. We provided the fabric and discussed the work and received his estimate. We had the couch delivered, they finished it ahead of schedule and i looks beautiful. Additionally the covered a throw pillar and cover for another one at no additional charge. We're very pleased with their work, the price and their business. I would highly recommend them.

I love it when I find a place that does an amazing job; that place is Starky Phan's upholstery. I brought in a chair I'd picked up at a local shop and asked for a re-cover. I didn't get particular, but secretly hoped they would keep the mid-century loveliness...and you know what - they did! The whole process was super easy, it only took a week and didn't cost me an arm or a leg. When I'm ready to re-cover my couch, I'm heading to Starky Phan's.

He came by Friday pm , gave estimate I accepted, helped me load it into my vehicle because he wasn't driving his van. I dropped it off at his shop Sat am, and it was ready following Monday pm. Excellent work and service.
