Leaking garbage disposal…water under the sink and on the kitchen floor… what to do? Call Standard Plumbing. They were booked that day, but came out the next day, diagnosed the problem and replaced the disposal. Problem solved. As always, Tim arrived on time, swapped out the disposal, cleaned up, and left in very short order. We never call anyone else for a plumbing problem because we know they will do a great job at a reasonable price, and they stand behind their work. We have been a customer for over 35 years, and we highly recommend them for any plumbing project.

We had described the problem over the phone to Standard Plumbing, so they were able to diagnose what was wrong. Tim showed up right on time with the required replacement part and was able to fix the problems quickly. Standard has been our plumber for over 35 years. Standard is everything you hope from a contractor; quick, efficient work, good problem-solving and communication, no huge surprises. Don and Tim were able to work with us and give options as we needing new plumbing lines put in from the second floor though a stair wall to the basement. Installed new sink and toilet. Within a matter of days, we had not one but two leaking faucets in the master bathroom; time to call Standard Plumbing. They were very responsive, and scheduled a service call for the next day. We had a blockage that reduced cold water flow at one bathroom sink. We changed the faucet ourselves, but that did not solve the problem, so we contacted Tim and Don. They are a father/son team. Don handles the office, and Tim does the repairs. Tim did some other work for us several years ago, and we liked him, so we called him again. Tim first checked the cold water shut-off valve, and that was not the problem. The blockage was in the copper pipes. He tried several ways to break the blockage free and finally ended up going into our crawl space where (to make a long story short) he removed and replaced the blocked section of pipe. The result was perfect, and the charge was reasonable for the time spent solving this problem. I am not sure every plumber could have found and fixed this problem. Besides that, Tim is really nice, explains everything, and is not pushy. We will definitely hire him again if we have another problem.

Don/Tim fit us in their schedule with short notice, made the repair and price was very reasonable. Plan to use for future plumbing needs.

My house is 90 years old and the tub faucet and shower needed to be replaced. It required getting in behind the bathrooms to my bedroom closet. Quite the job! Tim arrived promptly and went right to work and worked steadily for over three hours to make the new Delta sit work with the antique set up of my plumbing. He was amazing… Professional, hard-working, personable… And the job was beautifully done. Even though the job took him much longer then he originally thought, I was only charged what was bid before. I've use standard plumbing for probably 19 years and I can't recommend them more highly. They are ethical, honest, professional and fair. They are the best! And their bid was lower than any of the other bids I got.

When I called and told them of my problem, Don was very helpful over the phone.The service call was scheduled very timely. His son, Tim, arrived promptly. He was courteous and professional. He answered all my questions and showed me how I could fix the pressure problem in my kitchen faucet should it ever happen again.. While they were only called out to address the low water pressure, I asked him to take a look at the garbage disposal. He determined it was broken and removed it at my request. I highly recommend them and would use again. They are a great company. Their price is fair and competitive with other plumbers.

I was talked into a very expensive cleaning of the air conditioner unit, which is my own fault. I keep it very clean, but the service person was pretty persistent. I regretted it immediately.

My water heater gave up its life last night...as we need hot water in the house, I went to Lowes early this morning and picked out a new heater, hoses, etc. but then Lowes did not have anyone available to do the install. So, I logged onto Angie's List and started calling providers...on like the 10th try, I got ahold of Standard Plumbing and Heating. The gentleman on the phone (I believe Don) was VERY helpful, saying first of all they had availability and second of all, he wanted to make sure I had the right water heater, so he asked me to check a few things on the phone first so not to waste mine or the tech's time. Anyway, it all checked out. The tech (Tim) did a great job, was very fast, answered all my questions, showed me a few other plumbing things around my house to be aware of, and the entire thing was VERY inexpensive compared to what I thought I'd pay. I recommend these guys highly. They're not a big outfit, which I prefer to support over the big guys like George Morlan. Fast, friendly, good price, and did quality work.

It was the usual excellent job done by this father/son company. Over the years I have never been less than delighted and pleased with the quality of their work and their professionalism. They are reliable, show up on time and explain things in layman's terms. They are always my first choice for any plumbing problem.

Called Fri afternoon and had an apt for Monday morning. Tim arrived and got right to it. Was open to showing me exactly what was wrong, and what was necessary to fix. He completed the 3 jobs in about an hour. He was super courteous and professional. Will definitely recommend this company to others.

It was an emergency job that popped up late on a Friday. I tried other plumbers (I must have called half a dozen) and no one could help with my emergency until the following week at best -- except for Standard Plumbing!!!! Within an hour of first talking to them they had someone come to my home and totally fix the problem. These guys are absolutely amazing!!! I've been a home owner for 30 years and they are the best plumbers I've ever used. I can't rate them too highly!!!

With a house full of guests and more on the way and in the middle of a flush, an underarm deodorant container fell into the toilet bowl. This toilet was out of action until further notice. Luckily, we had dealt with Don & Tim before when they replaced our water heater, installed a new garbage disposal, and fixed toilets. We were delighted with their service, price, professionalism and manners on those occasions. It did not take much think time to know whom to call. Tim of Standard Plumbing & Heating arrived when expected (within 24 hours) and went right to work. The situation was a challenge because of a tight working space and a securely lodged deodorant container. Ultimately, Tim liberated the offender, restored toilet function and then apologized for the process taking so long (1 hour). We highly recommend Standard Plumbing & Heating for your plumbing needs. Don & Tim are exceptionally easy to work with.

Standard Plumbing has been my plumber for over 25 years, doing everything from fixing a leaky faucet to replacing all of the galvanized pipes in my home with copper. Don and Tim are top notch. They are very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Their prices are fair and competitive and their service is second to none. They are so good that I have not called for a second bid in over 20 years. I just call them and tell them my problem and they fix it. Our water heater was 16 years old and in need of replacement. I called Standard and told them I needed a new one. They made an appointment for the following week, showed up as scheduled and were done in just a few hours. It doesn't get any better than that. He arrived on time as scheduled. His father was very informative about the job and helpful with educating me to prevent potential outside plumbing issues. The price charged was reasonable. I have used this company many times over the years. I have to admit that I'm not as on top of providing feedback on Angie's List as I should be but I felt compelled to review this company. You can not hire another plumber as honest and knowledgable as Standard. Don handles the office work and appointments and Tim, his son handles the field work. I love hiring family businesses where you have pride in workmanship and accountability. This latest service call was as a result of a botched job by a "handy" man who wasn't handy at all. He ruined our existing fixtures in the master bath trying to remove the gold parts of our Moen and replace with silver tone. I should have hired standard to begin with and gotten the job done correctly the first time - lesson learned. Tim has many years of experience and works efficiently. He also is careful to clean up after he finishes the job. I can not recommend this company highly enough. This is the last plumbing review you will need to read. Once you hire standard, they will certainly be added to your go-to list!

Tim came out and connected the drain for a utility sink. He did an excellent job explaining what he was going to do and some different options. He also exchanged a strainer because the one I had wasn't the right kind for the sink I had. I was very impressed with this professionalism and honesty. I would definitely use them again.
