Quickly figured out that problem was a frozen drain pipe causing its sensor to shut down the furnace. Fixed with a temporary drain tube replacement to a bucket below. BRILLIANT!!! Very satisfied. Even showed me how to reconnect when the main drain tube thaws out so I can save another service call.

I had Specialty replace the ancient A/C unit on our daughter's new house. They were prompt, did excellent work and we are all very happy with the results. We were so happy with their work that we also had them replace the aging A/C unit on our house. We had a different crew both times but both crews were clean, timely and very helpful. The whole process for both houses went very well and we would definitely use them again and recommend them as well.

Update April 7, 2022 - Another flawless incident of excellent service. Part of our HVAC is an important electronic filtering system we bought 12 years ago when they installed our system. My wife experienced respiratory distress at the same time we noted a "green light" went out on the filter. Specialized Heating & Cooling responded on the weekend to diagnose, set up repair, and clean the system sufficiently to ease her distress. The necessary part was ordered and installed. . Hayden (emergency tech) and Justin (go-to tech expert) were their usual astonishing selves during the process. Sarah Streeter has excellent hiring standards and developmental skills. Her people are TOP NOTCH.

Obtained four bids for this work and Specialty had the second low bid in a very close overall bidding exercise. They had a couple of upgrades included that others did not have. Nic was great to work with in selecting the appropriate system. The installers were on time and removed all old equipment, installed the new furnace and air conditioner and cleaned up within 7 hours. Very professional.

It was a great service, they are excellent, very prompt and they took time to perform the service. I will recommend them to others.

I just had another wonderful experience AGAIN with your service people. You folks never let me down, and as a purchaser of a Heat Pump in 2010, that experience has been significant. My heat went out Monday, 11/23/20. I called Tuesday Morning to 503-620-5643. They ALWAYS pick up this number. Long story short, My system was fixed before dinner. This was accomplished in unusually short timeframe because everything broke in our favor. But this is the type of service has been the rule of what has happened in the last 10 years of service. I hired Specialty Heating and Cooling based on their reputation and reviews, and I was extremely satisfied with their service. They were the only company when I called for quotes who took the time to explain to me their process and made me feel good about them. Their quote was in the middle of the others I got, but due to their reviews and reputation I choose them. The tech arrived (Michael), he explained what he would be doing and was very nice. It took him about 4 hours total, and when done he showed me the before/after photos and told me a few other things he found. He was very knowledgable, nice, did a wonderful throughout job, and left no mess behind. This was well worth my money, my AC works so much better and my house has a way better smell to it now when the AC/or heat runs! I will be hiring them in the future!

Specialty Heating & Cooling was the only company of 4 we talked with to propose an ideal plan for running new HVAC power & cooling lines through our attic -- optimally locating and minimizing visual impact both inside and outside the house. They even added additional lines we requested for future additions to other rooms as we or future homeowners desire. Installation was quick and professional, with good communication throughout. All done at same or lower price than competitors. Our kitchen and adjoining DR & LR (and the whole house) have never been so comfortable on 90 degree days. Winter heat is way more even and comfy too. All from one unit! We previously used only a Yotul gas stove and rarely-used electric ceiling heat for 3000 sq. ft. in winter, and a giant oak tree to shade us in summer. Denise T.

He answered all my questions, was personable and easy to talk to. I spoke to Service Mgr. Matt to set up the appointment, and he was also very helpful. This company is a pleasure to work with. Greg was efficient, with thorough attention to detail, and cheerful throughout 4 hour install process. He carefully cleaned screens on all hot water faucets, stayed on the job until everything was working perfectly, and did immaculate garage cleanup afterward. Because it needed to be repaired on Friday, the day after Thanks giving, the part could not be picked up, so I had to wait until the following Monday to get it repaired. But once the part could be picked up, the repair went well. Randy did what he could to fix the problem, and once the job was complete, I was very satisfied with the job he did. He was courteous and very helpful in explaining what he did.

The crew was on time, careful of things in the work area, and friendly to be around. They were very helpful in explaining what they were doing and why as well as how operate the new thermostat. Their attention to detail on job being performed was amazing as well as the effecient way they worked. We were greatly pleased with everything from the initial sales presentation to the final job completion and would not hesitate to purchase from this company again as well as have this crew do the install.

The installation went quickly and with minimal disruption. The sales guy was informative, the price competitive, and the installation crew were very professional. Caveat: I did have to - gasp - clean up that part of the garage!

It went very well during the summer did very good job .Use them for furnace and heating and air conditioning.Sign a contract annually $25 a month.Like the guys and the company.

SH&C installed Carrier Infinity 96 furnace, Performance 17 A/C, and Aprilaire 5000 air filter to replace my almost 30 year old furnace and slightly younger A/C. Your mileage will vary, but the power usage on the A/C is about 40% lower and the house is at least 100% more comfortable. The cool air actually reaches the upstairs and the filter really freshens the air. I'm also impressed with how quiet the system is. Carrier also sent a $550 rebate. Overall I was really happy with the service from SH&C. They scheduled the install within about 2 weeks of purchase. They showed up on time and got everything done as promised. I didn't have to bother with anything other than opening the garage door to let them in. I'm planning to do business with them in the future.

The project went very well. The original plan was to route electrical through my crawl space. When that didn't work the crew called their supervisor for some problem-solving help. In the meantime, they kept working. I appreciated that the lead technician knew when to call for help and handled everything so well. The A/C was running by the end of the day. I also had Specialty clean the ductwork after the installation was complete.

Specialty Heating and Cooling did a wonderful job. They were able to do the work sooner than they expected and I now have better AC coverage on the 3rd floor. I couldn’t be more pleased.

Learned of this business through Angie's list. Called them on the July 17. Was scheduled for a service call on the 26th. Person on the phone explained their charge for a service call. Dustin arrived on time. He was polite and knowledgeable. He found the problem and fixed it promptly. He also was patient enough to answer all of my questions. I believe he is an asset to this company. The reason for my low rating regarding price is that the company would not honor the coupon that they had placed in the June issue of Angie's list magazine which noted 15% off any repair. (No other qualifications) Dustin called the office about the discount after showed to him and he indicated someone in the office said the discount only applied if you bought something from them through Angie's List. Coupon did not state this nor does their page on Angie's list. I think the person in the office did not know what they were talking about. Other than this matter, I believe Dustin and the company did a great job!!

I recently replaced AC and furnace. Specialty's price is comparable to other contractors but their equipment is better. The whole experience was pleasant, from initial sales to installation. Everyone conducted in a very professional manner. The process was smooth. So far I can tell, the equipment is working fine.
