I would not do business with this company based on my customer service interaction today. I had an 11:00 appointment for a virtual meeting to discuss HVAC options. I was told the appointment would take approximately 1 hour in which the sales person would review the details of my current system and explain the options Sears offers. I did not hear from anyone at 11:00. At 11:16 I called the company and let them know I was waiting. I called again at 11:30. The call was transferred to the sales person I was supposed to meet with. She started the call without any explanation on what had happened. She asked me the size of my house and then gave me a quoted price for a new system. She didn't explain the products or even tell me which product she was recommending in the quote. I asked about the discrepancy in what I was told when setting up the appointment and the information she shared. She said that the call center doesn't understand what the salespeople do so I was given misinformation. She also said she only needed to know the size of my house to determine what I would need without any questions about access, current system or what type of efficiency I was after. I took time off work to prioritize this appointment and am very disappointed with the service.

We use Sears usually for appliance repair because it’s convenient and they do a pretty good job. I’ve done service contracts with them, so it really doesn’t cost us anything when they come out. The service contract cost like $200 or $300 for a couple of years. I think service contracts are expensive, but that way I don’t have to pay to call them.

I made an appointment for 4pm to meet with a consultant. I was contacted by Sears both by email and phone several times to confirm the appointment. They emailed me the name and photo of who I would be meeting with. The person that came to the door was not the same person I was told it would be. This person was 1/2 hour late and offered no apology for his tardiness. I told him I only had allotted an hour for the consultation so was anxious to get started. I knew exactly what I wanted so I had no need to go through samples/colors etc. He started to ask questions about the house and the project that I had already answered twice before when setting up the appointment. He asked if I'd worked with contractors before. I told him I had, and that I expect service people to be on time and do what they say they're going to do and if that wasn't going to be possible we could end the consultation. So he picked up his belongings and walked out. This is one of the worst experiences I have had with a contractor - not just tardy but incredibly rude and unprofessional. I am not going to spend thousands of dollars with a company that can't even do these basics - like showing up on time and doing what you said you would do. Just grateful that I did not engage them for my project.

They were here and didn't have the part, so they couldn't fix the fridge. We have a maintenance agreement, so there was no charge for them to come out this time. The guy that came out was fine.

Very well . The technician was professional and courteous.

I would use them again in the future.

They are dependable, and they are timely. They get the job done, and they stand behind their product too.

Terrible experience. We ordered the job and signed the contract in October 2013. We received an offer of a $150.00 valued in-home estimate of flooring for free, as a courtesy to Sears and quot;valued customers), and set up appt. The representative (salesman, Josh), gave us estimate for carpeting, what we were originally interested in, and we rejected the job because it was higher cost than expected ($14,000. to $15,000 for our -2000 square home. Josh then asked if we wanted to replace our original tile (1996 home). He told us how it would beautify our kitchen, and would be a positive upgrade that would increase the value of our home, and look so much better. We looked at samples of granite and other solid surface samples that were the size of 2and quot; x and quot;2 in the sample book. We agreed on type, color, etc. signed paperwork (mistake), and was told that the installer would make appt. to measure out counters. A week later installer/fabricator came out. As we were close to holidays by then was told that it might not be done right away because they were so busy. We agreed. Salesman said we could drive up to Seattle and quot;if we wanted toand quot; to look at the granite!! We declined to make the long drive. Next contact was when two workers came to install the counter. They demolished the existing tile, brought in granite........was wrong color, not close to what we chose. I immediately called the and quot;project manager, Jeffand quot; at Portland office. He told me to call salesman, Josh to work it out. Called Josh, he said that Jeff should take care of!! Jeff told me that we got what we ordered and nothing could be done. I insisted that they take it out and cancel the contract, it was NOT the right order. I kept getting the run-around and kept being told that there was nothing they could do. After the many phone calls I started emailing to Jeff, with cc to manager John Marsol, to have a record of what was being done, or not done. After many weeks of fighting with several e-mails to the manager, and even the head of the Corporation, which is located in Florida. Only offer to me to resolve this was to make the drive to Seattle and personally pick the color that we had originally ordered. Feeling beaten, we went up there!!!!! Later saw email between manager and head of Corp. to NEVER have the customer go to the granite supplier. A few weeks later (and more calls on my part) the installers came out and installed granite we wanted. Never saw the and quot;boss/ownerand quot; of the installers. I asked the manager of Sears Home Improvement, John Marsol, to please come to our home to look at the finished product, as it was a bad and messy install. Wasn't fit correctly around sink, rough edges everywhere. He declined. People need to know what I found out.......this outfit is NOT SEARS, just umbrelled under the name. These guys are in Oregon, they sub out the work to Herreidconstruction in Wa., they buy all of the granite from Consentino Inc. located in Seatle. This job is so ugly. I've never seen such a lack of customer care and disrespect.

The carpenter assigned to the project (Gary B.) was professional, patient, and really paid attention to detail. His work standards are very high. We are very happy with the finished product.

I was offered an estimate on replacement siding incidental to a call to Sears for routine maintenance on a Kenmore appliance. I had been wondering what it might cost and what would be involved. The agent came prepared not only to work through the design decisions and provide an estimate but also to execute a contract. In fact, the agent clearly was not willing to leave my house until he had a signed contract. A one-hour appt streatched out to more than two hours as he pushed through each step. H was not moved by my statements that I wanted to compare estimates before signing a contract, as well as comparing different materials for siding. Once I discovered I could cancel the contract within 3 business day, I went along. It was interesting to see what was involved. He insisted that the work crew would be Sears employees who would provide excellent services. He offered interest-free credit and a reduced cost if I signed that day, and he steered me through the credit application [from which I received a Sears Home Improvement credit card]. This was slowed by my block on credit applications, because of a security breach on a credit card I use. After he left, I checked Angie's list reviews of Sears Home Siding, where I read that Sears uses short-term subs to do the work, which varied greatly in quality. Based on these reviews, I cancelled the contract. This was complicated by the instruction in the Notice of Cancellation form to and quot;MAIL OR DELIVER A SIGNED AND DATED COPY OF THIS CANCELLATION NOTICE OR ANY OTHER WRITTEN NOTICE, OR SEND A TELEGRAM, TOand quot; an address in Florida. Since telegram technology has disappeared, I tried to find out [by phone and email} if I could give written notice via email, but did not get a timely response. So I walked over to my neighborhood UPS store and sent the cancellation notice next day delivery to the address in the form.

I haven't set a date to have them back yet. The sales person was nice but very pushy to get me to sign on the day she was out. I should have gotten other estimates from other companies first so I would have been prepared to know if her offer was reasonable.

The sales representative came to our house thinking that we wanted a new air conditioner. We explained that we were interested in heating units (which is the information given to the store representative when scheduling the appointment). He told us that we would need to contact the gas company to request a meter and then asked if we were going to contact other companies. We explained that we would like to obtain at least two or three bids. He asked for the company names and then told us that we need to remember that Sears has been in business for over 100 years and local companies for HVAC have been going out of business. He also stated that Sears has been very busy with installing air conditioning systems and were currently receiving a lot of calls as it would be heating up next week. He asked if we wanted to do this in August and we said we needed it done by October when we began using the furnace last year. He looked at the two furnaces we currently have and the A/C unit and then stated that he would come out again after we received a couple of other bids. Our opinion was that he didn't want to spend the time until we had estimates from other companies to devise his sales pitch and that Sears was busy with cooling unit sales. Basically this appointment was a waste of time for us. We will not be calling him later so that he can obtain more information about other companies.

I was asking the person some questions about how everything was going to work for the system. I asked if I should go with getting a new system for the house. When I was asking the questions he got mad and left the house.

THEY ARE VERY RUDE. SEARS SAYS THAT THEY HAVE PROFESSIONALS, BUT THEY ARE JUST DAY LABORERS. ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE HOUSE THERE ARE PIECES JUST NAILED ON HERE AND THERE. IT LOOKS LIKE A JIGSAW PUZZLE, THEY JUST KEPT CUTTING SHORT PIECES AND POPPING THEM IN. HAVE NOT FINISHED THE BACK PORCH OR THE FRONT PORCH, AND WHAT THEY HAVE DONE IS ALL WRONG. THEY HAVE BROKEN AN ORNAMENTAL TREE. HAVE BROKEN AN OUTSIDE LIGHT. THEY LEANED THEIR LADDERS UP AGAINST MY GUTTERING AND THE GUTTER HELMETS (ALL AROUND THE HOUSE), DAMAGING AND BREAKING SOME OF THEM. THE CONTRACTOR FELT THAT HE FINISHED THE JOB, BUT THEY CLEARLY ARE NOT FINISHED BECAUSE THE SIDING IS NOT ALL THERE (ALL-STAR CONSTRUCTION, LES MAFARA, IN SANDY, OR) THIS HAS BEEN SO STRESSFUL, AND THEY ARE STILL NOT FINISHED WITH MY HOUSE. THERE WAS NOT A DAILY CLEAN UP (SEARS STATES THAT WOULD BE DONE). IT STATES IN THE CONTRACT THAT THE AWNINGS AND GUTTERS WILL BE REMOVED AND RE-INSTALLED, BUT THIS HAS NOT OCCURRED EITHER.

I DIDN'T CARE FOR THE COMPANY. THE WORK THEY DID WAS SHABBY. I FELT I COULD DO A BETTER JOB, MYSELF, THAN WHAT THEY DID. IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS JUST HANGING THERE.

OVERALL I WOULD SAY THEY ARE FINE. I WOULDN'T GO OVERBOARD WITH IT. I WOULD SAY THEY ARE OK. I DIDN'T ACTUALLY BUY THE PRODUCT SO MY IDEA OF THE PRICE IS NOT ACCURATE.

THE COMPANY WAS REALLY GOOD. THERE WAS A LITTLE BIT OF A PROBLEM WITH THEM ARRIVING ON TIME, BUT OTHER THAN THAT, THEY WERE GREAT. VERY GOOD PROFESSIONALISM. THEY EVEN CLEANED UP THEIR OWN MESS.

THESE GUYS DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND SOLID CRAFTMANSHIP. VERY ACCOMMODATING TO OUR NEEDS AND FINISHED THE JOB AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. WILL RECOMMEND.

THEY DID A WONDERFUL JOB SHOWING GREAT WORKING ETHICS, VERY FAST HARDWORKING YOUNG MEN WHO WAS EXPERIENCED AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE WITH THEIR SKILLS AND ABILITIES.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS GENTLEMEN FROM SEARS WAS GOOD. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND SHOWED UP WHEN HE WAS EXPECTED. ANSWERED ALL QUESTIONS I HAD.

WE ARE HAPPY WITH THIS COMPANY, WE SHOPPED AROUND AND THE PRICE SEEMED GOOD, THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL IN OUR DECISION TO GO WITH THE VINYL SIDING, THEY WERE AND EXCELLENT COMPANY TO HIRE.

WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK. THEY HAD A GREAT WORK ETHIC, VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE IN THEIR LINE OF WORK.

THE LADY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND FIXED IT WITHIN ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF. THEY CHARGED AN AWFUL LOT JUST TO COME TO MY HOUSE, TO TELL ME HOW MUCH IT WILL COST TO FIX THE ITEM, THOUGH.
