Sarah Jane is amazing. I won't use any other painter for our home. She is a true artist when it comes to restoring and refinishing wood. She took the ancient, dry, cracked, & stained gum wood and fir trim in our home (that I was sure we were going to have to replace) and brought it back to life. The period trim in our home is now so gorgeous! And she has a great eye for color. I have used her both personally and as a referral for our real estate clients who all have loved her. There is no one as good as Sarah Jane!

I won't use any other painter for our home. Sarah is meticulous and talented. She's an absolute magician with wood. When we purchased our house, it was in rough shape and we thought we would have to replace most of our wood trim. Sarah not only saved the original wood, it is now the gorgeous focal point of our mid-century home (as it was intended to be!). I'm a real estate agent and I've worked with a lot of painters and Sarah is the best! She's not the fastest, but if you want quality, hire this painter!

The projects went great. Sarah brings a great deal of experience and expertise, which definitely paid off for us. Our home has a lot of detail, including wood trim, windows with divided lites, and built-in cabinetry. To ensure that the painting projects were successful, Sarah paid special attention to preparing the surfaces of wall, trim, and built-ins, as well as to the painting itself. The results are beautiful and the painted surfaces are holding up very well, even in areas of very high use. We get compliments often on our kitchen and home, and this is in part because of Sarah's excellent work. Sarah listens well and is communicative about project, scheduling, and costs. She works efficiently, and keeps things neat and tidy during the job. Sarah is easy to work with and reliable, and her prices are reasonable.

We can't believe how beautifully Sarah restored everything! There was quite a bit of various colors of paint splotched on the woodwork over the years, plus stain was worn or scratched off in many places. Overall it was a mess! We hoped that Sarah would improve the look but she was able to take it way beyond that! She brought the wood back to life without making it look brand new so that it truly fits with the aesthetic of our 120-year old house. She was able to clean up all the and quot;over paintingand quot; on the baseboards as well as apply new stains and sealers over the worn parts that matched the rest of the wood finish in the house. Amazing! Watching her work, I can say that she is truly an artist as she would figure out just right layers of colors to apply to match what was there. She told me that she loves working with wood. Well, I can say that the wood loves working with her, too! This type of result requires someone with a great eye, a strong aesthetic and deep knowledge of the products and techniques for restoring old wood. Sarah scores top marks in every category, and on top of that is really a joy to work with. I have no reservations at all about recommending her to anyone who has a wood restoration project and wants great results.

We heard about Sarah from a friend who recommended her based on work they had seen at another friend's home. We were initially just looking for a person to paint our spare bedroom and hallway. Sarah's excellent work and ability to make great suggestions for color and texture matching convinced us that we will eventually have her paint the entire interior of the house. Due to past repairs and old renovations we had plaster walls with many textural variations and imperfections. Sarah ensured that wherever she painted, a uniform and matching texture was created as a base before paint coats were applied. There were some badly patched areas that we had accepted as forever being rough uneven surfaces, but after Sarah had prepped and painted those areas there was almost no indication that a repair had been done to the plaster at all. The completed work indicated great skill and precision with fine straight cuts along the ceiling, corners and moulding. I do not wish to sound fawning or overpraising--but in our opinion, her work resembles that of a skilled artisan and a perfectionist. She is meticulous while remaining relatively efficient (not to mention--knowledgeable, friendly and easy to talk to) and the results showed that she is truly dedicated to ensuring a high level of aesthetic and functional quality. This is the level of work we were hoping for, and we could not be happier with the results.

Sarah Jane Reed is my go-to painter whenever I have a new project. I have hired her for color consulting, interior paint, exterior paint, wood staining, and murals. On all of these projects her work has been excellent. She really listens and understands what I want and consistently delivers. Whether she is doing something and quot;artisticand quot; like a mural or just staining wood, what she is doing is art, and the results are always phenomenal. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Sarah has broad knowledge and undrestanding of the art of applying the right finish in the right fashion. She goes the extra mile to make sure the finished product is top quality. Her recommendations were always on the mark. She was unobtrusive, diligent and efficient. We decided to keep her longer than we planned because of her superb work.

It is always a great experience working with Sarah. She has done lots of other work for us in the past, i.e., stained window work, painted our Italian-looking kitchen with a hand-painted grape vine, and painted our granddaughter's bedroom adding flowers, butterflies and ladybugs.

Every job Sarah has done for me has been outstanding. The only time we ever had a problem she was painting the steps on a house and we had a cold snap soon after. The paint failed during the winter and looked terrible. Of course, Sarah was very upset when she saw it and promised to fix it so it's hard to think of that as a real problem.
