Precision Overhead Garage Door

Think twice before purchasing a new garage door from Precision Door. We purchased an expensive garage door from Precision after we replaced the siding on our house. Less than 6 months after the garage door was installed, one of the panes of glass shattered. Precision recommended that we contact the manufacturer, Northwest Door, who informed us that they would not help us resolve the issue. Precision agreed to replace the glass pane free of charge. Six months later, another glass pane unexpectedly shattered. We have asked for either a full refund of our money (and Precision can keep the door) or for the top panel to be replaced with glass that will not shatter, at no cost to us. Both Northwest and Precision are washing their hands of this issue now that they have our money. The door is clearly defective, but neither company will take responsibility for it. They are both dishonest and refuse to stand behind the products they sell. Instead, they offer excuses. We have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and we plan to take legal action against Precision if the situation is not resolved. I wish that we would have purchased a door from The Home Depot or Lowe's instead.

Shane came out from Precision Garage Doors and he was fantastic. He not only knows what he is doing and is highly skilled, he cares about the quality of his work. He took his time and explained all the options and what was wrong. Such a skilled, smart person who actually cares about the good job he is doing is rare.
