Precision Door Service

We are extremely happy with Precision Garage Doors’ work to repair our double-wide garage door. The door was installed 10 years ago by Precision. It had gotten off its tracks and was stuck open the evening before we were leaving on vacation. My call was answered by a polite human (!) who managed to schedule us early the following morning. The technicians arrived on schedule, explained what was needed clearly, replaced worn parts, and had the door sorted out quickly and professionally. Also fantastic was that the door was under their lifetime warrantee, so the cost for the repair was minimal. We highly recommend Precision Garage Doors Tigard.

Luke Dial from Precision Door answered my call for a door repair tech. Luke called 20 minutes beforehand to let us know he would be on the way. He was careful to ensure all COVID virus PPE was on and went to work doing an evaluation. Turns out it was the spring. Luke's professionalism without a doubt was why I'll always use Precision doors for all my door needs. In and out, less than an hour. Thanks Luke, and thank you Precision Doors. Y'all rock!!!

The service went really well. I called on an early Saturday afternoon, and my assigned tech arrived just a few hours later. Talk about fast service! Hunter confirmed that indeed one of my springs had broken. He did a thorough check on all aspects of my garage door, and he gave me a list of three possible avenues for repair--no pressure. An hour or so later, he had replaced my spring and it was up in working order. I had also asked him about fixing the seal on the bottom of my garage door. I know from experience that some garage people don't do this kind of work. A guy from another company had said, "It's really easy...you just pull it out and slide the new one in...but we don't do that." I had tried to fix it myself years ago to no avail, kicking myself for not being able to do this "easy" repair. It turned out that it wasn't so easy. Hunter looked at it and said, "I could pull this out and replace it, but it wouldn't hold." Precision had to order a new metal seal holder since my door is a bit older. I got a call on Monday telling me that their supplier was four weeks out with the Covid pandemic, but that they could do it. So I told them to go ahead. I am really happy to finally get this fixed, and I look forward to working with Precision again in a couple more weeks!

Precision received our telephone inquiry and request for service courteously. The job was dispatched promptly to a technician, on a Saturday, who arrived right on time in the service window we were given. He did a careful safety and functionality assessment of the door system, presenting three options. More old parts needed to be replaced, in addition to the failed spring. We accepted one proposal. The work then proceeded quickly and efficiently. The technician was highly professional, pleasant, and worked safely - this was in the midst of the COVID-19 emergency. The door is much improved, and we are pleased. Only reservation is that we did not get competing bids, so do not have a clear sense of the fairness of the price. We are not complaining, and gladly paid the agreed amount.

Hunter was fabulous. He was arrived on-time. He was professional and got right to work. We had to come up with a solution and he was great at explaining my options and also listening to my needs. Overall, just a great experience. I wold highly recommend Precision Door Service!

Determined no lock could further secure my garage door and would not be money well spent. Determined future garage door options down the road and tuned my garage door during visit. I would hire them again and appreciate their honesty for not selling me a $200 lock which would not have any appreciable impact on our current configuration.

Paul came out from precision garage door service to give us an estimate. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and answered all of our questions. The quote he gave us was less than what we had budgeted so we happily hired their company. On the install day we received a call from Gary saying he'd be here in 45 minutes. He was on time, professional explained in detail what he was going to do. He told us it would take 2 to 3 hours to complete. He was done in 2.5 hours. Left no mess, and we are very happy with our new garage door. Would definitely reccomend them.

Called about 2:30pm on Friday, Tech Joe was at house by 5pm and installed a new opener and left about 6pm. Great service. Joe was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Would definitely recommend them.

Our garage door was stuck open and they were able to come out the same day and fix it. Very responsive and got the work done great.

I was amazed -- called Precision mid-day on Saturday and had someone at the house the same afternoon. Gave me clear information on a few things that should be addressed (fraying cable and bearing wear); not surprising after multiple uses per day for 12 years. Serviced, repaired and adjusted the system in about 90 mins. Door runs like new; back to smooth and as quiet as it ever was. I should have had this done a couple of hears ago. Will definitely be calling Precision the next time around!

From start to finish Precision Door was excellent. They scheduled on a Sunday afternoon without additional cost. Travis arrived right on time and really investigated what the issues were and offered options to address the situation. We ended up choosing to replace the operating system and rollers, plus add an external code box for a reasonable price right then and there--no rescheduling. An hour later, we had a new system that works perfectly. Travis even gave the garage an extra clean up with a blower. We are extremely happy with the work performed and the reasonable cost.

I found this business on Angie's list and gave them a call based on their stellar reviews. They were very courteous on the phone and arranged to send out someone to take a look and give me an estimate (Paul Bartlett, door sales manager) the same day. Paul gave me a call ahead as promised and was prompt. My current garage doors are beautiful and unique, but are the old style that fold out and accordion on tracks, great for horses but not for getting my wife's Honda in and out of the garage on rainy days.. When he looked at my situation, he explained options and told me frankly that I would get the best-looking result with true carriage style doors, which his company doesn't sell. He gave me some things to consider, and even gave me the name of another company to call. Paul is what I would describe as a man of character, I wish I could buy the new doors from him!

They responded within a day and did the repair. The part was under warranty, so there was only a service charge. We were grateful for such fast and friendly service.

I called late afternoon yesterday, and they had a repairperson out the very next morning! Very personable, called to let me know his ETA, right on time! Travis arrived as promised, his appearance was super neat and professional - we looked at the door together, and he paid close attention to all I was saying. After he did his inspection, his explanation was clear and he gave me several options. When he finished the work, he showed me everything he'd done, and gave me pointers on homeowner maintenance I could do myself. The door works so nicely now! I chose to do the mimimum repair (replace the rollers) at this time, due to budget restrictions. But will have them back in 6 months to replace the lift mechanism. And then back again in a year to do the other door!! :-D Really, really happy & satisfied with the work and especially Travis the technician (who by-the-way is brand new to the company). He was so conscientious and honest. Precision Door may not be the least expensive, but I think you get what you pay for - and I'm happy with their service 110% ! Plus, they honored a coupon I found on the internet :-) I'm definitely going to have them back again!

We called on Sunday morning, and had our door repaired early Sunday afternoon. The technicain Paul called while on his way, and arrived promptly. Was very courteous and professional, and did the work as promised in a timely fashion. Also answered all my questions, and gave us some maintenance tips. Though the work was a bit pricey, it was done well and safely, and I rather expect to pay a premium for prompt, same day work on the weekend.

I originally called another company I had previously used 7 years ago. I called twice and left messages and never received a call back. I called Precision and they picked up right away and had someone at my house within two hours!! The technician installed a new bottom retainer and rubber sweep as the old retainer was too short and the sweep was worn out (allowing mice to seek refuge in our garage). The technician did an inspection of the overall garage door and gave me a quick tutorial on all of the moving parts.

Gary was great. On time and called when about 15 minutes out. He reiterated the work to be performed, explained what he was doing and why, provided us with preventive maintenance tips, and parts to keep an eye on. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

Andrew checked for any obvious, easily fixable problems (broken cables, blockage in the track, blocked sensors, etc.) before taking apart the opener. He ran diagnostics and the unit was unresponsive. He installed a new (and better) garage door opener and walked me through how to operate it. The whole process took less than 3 hours.
