Positive – Plumber performed good quality work. Negatives – Low quote seemed great on initial inspection but final bill was > x3 quoted amount. Initial job inspection/quote did not properly scope the job resulting in plumber being dispatched without standard/required tools. Customer then charged for this error at $200/hr. to source necessary tools. In future will look elsewhere for a transparent, professional plumbing outfit who arrive prepared to perform work.

Avoid Power Plumbing at all exorbitant costs! On April 12, 2021, they were out to unclog an upstairs kitchen drain. The plumber did not forewarn me of possible damage to the pipes in using a snake. In fact, he never mentioned using a snake. While in my downstairs office, I heard what sounded like a jackhammer. The pipes were vibrating loudly. When I went upstairs, he had finished his job and presented me with a bill for $454.16. (This included the installation of a new kitchen faucet and the replacement of two outdoor spigots.) When the plumber left, I head water running. I went into the downstairs bathroom and found black water covering the floor. On the other side of this wall, I found the family room carpet soaked. The plumber came back and fixed this broken pipe after cutting up the walls. That evening, I found water leaking under the kitchen sink. Another broken pipe! Two days later, they returned and fixed it. Well, I thought, they have at least repaired the damage they caused at no cost. Ha! Two days later two more bills came: one for $577.88 to fix the first pipe they broke, and the second for $635.25 for the second pipe they broke, totaling $1667.29! And this, of course, does not include the ten to fifteen thousand dollars in damages to my house. I called the company and said I would have to 1) talk to my lawyer before paying; and, 2) talk to my insurance company, both of which I did and after which I reluctantly paid both additional bills. Two days after paying both bills (three bills in total, all paid), I received a certified Notice of Right to a Lien in the event I didn’t pay the bills within eight days, bills I had already paid. So, yes, do yourself a favor and AVOID POWER PLUMBING AT ALL EXORBITANT COSTS1

Called them for a quote, they never called me back. Guess they don't need the business. When the initial contact is negative, that's not a good sign.

They ended up having to replace it.

We had someone onsite the same day and he was able to do the work quickly and cost effectively.

Great experience. Power Plumbing was able to provide us with an alternative routing option for the new pipe, which went outside our home, instead of tearing up our finished basement. Job took longer than expected because digging the trench was more difficult than expected. But, they completed the job as agreed to, and billed at the bid price. They even came back promptly to fix an irrigation pipe leak that happened during the trench dig. Very responsible and trustworthy.

My toilet was clogged. The plumber fixed it. He left. I went in and used the toilet. It overflowed again. I called Power Plumbing right back. They said that clogged toilets weren't guaranteed. They said I could have clogged it with the very next flush. I didn't. It was never properly fixed. Even though they are very close to my home, I will never use them again.

They came the first day and assessed the situation. It took a while to schedule but I felt like I was treated as a priority (eventhough I don't think I was). Wanting a second opinion on the proceedure, Milo was asked to assist. Between the two of them a plan was made and executed within two weeks. The hole up front at the street was dug before I returned home; the next day the ground was marked and finally the work was begun - on time. They kept me in the loop and communicated at all times. I expressed that I have had to take a lot of time off work and I have no more time left to wait - they responded with respect to my timeline. I was able to get the electrician in and all was good; and the garage hole was sealed and cemented back. They were professional from beginning to end but not at the sacrifice of any personal touch.

It went great. Tim was able to quickly identify what was happening and by running a snake down the pipe he was able to determine where the end was. Luckily it wasn't under my concrete pad, but it was left 4 feet from the edge of the street with a cap on it. He quickly dug down to the pipe, dug a trench to the street access, and fitted a new section of pipe so it would drain correctly. I would highly recommend his work, and I will be using again for future plumbing needs.

I have used Power Plumbing on several occasions over the last few years both for my home, rental unit and for larger projects, such as the repair of a broken water main. I have always had a good experience with them and their prices are reasonable. They are not expensive, nor are they the lowest price around, but I trust their office and field staff to give me an honest answer and follow through on their work.

Power Plumbing is our go to plumbing contractor for a 22 unit condo association. They do all the work for the association and for many of the individual owners as well. A very professional company. They have replaced water supply mains, drains, toilets, sump pumps and about every other kind of plumbing job.

Easy and quick job, but the cost of the work was high, in my opinion, because of the minimum charge. Wish I had other work this provider could have done to get more value out of that minimum charge.

It took a few weeks to get the work scheduled, but that seemed to be par for the course with all of the companies consulted very busy at the time. To help fit it in the schedule, we had agreed in advance that I would break out the garage floor slab and dig the entry pit in the garage. The plumber and subcontractor for the boring were timely on the scheduled day. The work went as described, with just a pit at the meter in the street and a boring from there to the pit in the garage. It all went smoothly.

The plumber found a leaking gasket which was not a standard size and was able to fabricate a gasket which fixed the leak.

Fantastic! Arrived on time, plumber (can't remember his name) was super nice, helpful, fixed everything quickly, very pleased.

I received a call mid-afternoon from the City saying that my meter was spinning and it appears I have a leak. I rushed home to find that there was a crack in the fitting at my meter so I called Power Plumbing. I spoke with Milo who was extremely professional and helpful. He said he could get someone out in the morning and in a few minutes I had a call from the office to schedule it and confirm address. Tim came out first thing in the morning, made the repair and called me to let me know it was complete. He took the time to explain what he found and what he did. It was much less than I expected and I was happy for that!

I had a very good experience with Power Plumbing. I will use them again in the future and recommend them to others. The plumber, Tim, was prompt, safety-conscious, courteous, and quickly resolved the issue. He added some pipe thread tape and re-tightened the pipe. Also, fixed a potential issue with the plumbing of my dishwasher, as he identified the problem that I did not realize I even had. However, his explanation made perfect sense, and I was glad he said something about it. Also, he showed me how to bleed the external hose bib for future winters. A little pricey, but great service.

They were excellent. They were very professional. Took care of the problem in less than an hour.

We love our new water heater and the people who came to the house were very prompt and personable. Some minor problems included not bringing the correct water heater and having to go get the right one. Meanwhile, since we don't wear shoes in our house, we covered the stairs and floor in front of the water heater so the plumbers would not have to wear booties. When the first person went to get the correct water heater, the second person waited behind and chatted on his cell phone while walking all around - including where there was no covering on the floors. Also, they knocked off the floor coverings while installing the heater and so left stains on the carpet which we had to have cleaned. Otherwise, service was fine and the new heater is great.

I would rate them A for all the categories. The people were very responsive.

Regarding a condo apartment that I own and is occupied by a tenant who informed me that the hot water temperature had become inconsistent, I decided that the 12 year old water heater should be replaced rather than throw money at it for a repair. I purchased a same-sized 50 gallon w/h at a plumbing supply outlet and transported it myself to the apartment. I called Power Plumbing to get a quote on doing the replacement, as they are in my neighborhood and I had used them twice before to my complete satisfaction. Even though the job in this case was 20 miles across town, it was still in their service area and the distance was not a problem. The estimate was better than another one from another plumber who is located much closer to the work site. The plumber named Steve showed up at the scheduled time, and was a pleasure to talk to and deal with. I had already drained the old tank so he was able to get right to work disconnecting it and installing the new tank in its place. As is customary, he also replaced the copper supply lines. That done, the new unit performed without any issues, and the tenant is thrilled. As part of the deal, I hauled off the old tank which saved me some money since the plumber didn't have handle it. I will not likely need to consult Angie's List to locate a plumber in the future, since Power Plumbing will be the first and only company I call for help. Highly recommended.

I had a clogged toilet. The plumber came and supposedly fixed it. He was here about 15 minutes. About an hour later, I went back in to use the toilet for the first time and it was still clogged. I called back Power Plumbing and they said they didn't guarantee toilets because I could have clogged it again. I called another plumber, paid another $90.00 and the toilet was fixed.

Inside cutoff valves for my outdoor faucets were leaking and dribbling. Within less than a day of my call, the Power plumber came and took care of that and more. He corrected the leak problem and showed me what to do in the future. Since he was here and fixed the problem fast, I had him also replace the flush and quot;stackand quot; on an older toilet's water closet which was rusty and not flushing perfectly. That was also quick and well done; much better than doing it myself (I've done that enough times in my life so that it's not fun anymore. Besides, I'm not good at it and usually need a couple of trips to the hardware store and probably a new tool each time I do it). I'd definitely call these guys again.

Tim always does a great for us. He had to go pickup the part as it wasn't a standard piece. He took care of it and now it works like a charm...no more leaking! We have used Power Plumbing over the past couple of years and are very satisfied with their service. We had used other plumbers previously and were not happy with their service. I'm so pleased that we found Tim and Power Plumbing! Yes, I'd recommend them!
