In hindsight, he missed a couple things but overall it went very well. He showed up on time, was very forthcoming in explaining problems as he found them, and within 12 hours he sent a very thorough report with photos and explanations of his findings, along with suggestions for remedies.

Tim did very good job on inspection. He arrived early and checked the house thoroughly. He explained very patiently the details of the inspection report and answered all our questions. Tim works towards getting a real and genuine house inspection, not for the real estate sale deal done. Tim's price range is very acceptable. I would recommend him to all that I know and I will use him again in the future.

Tim has inspected two homes for me and did a great job both times. He was very descriptive with everything that he saw at the house and answered all my questions while I was there. I ended up having to reschedule one of them a couple times and he was extremely prompt and accommodated with those changes as they came. His online scheduling system is also very helpful for me, right when I picked a date and time he emailed a confirmation. I have had inspections with more expensive and large companies but I have never gotten the customer services the Tim provides. Great price with great service!

When we hired Tim McGill of PortlandHomeInspect.com, we just didn't know what to expect. We had never had a home inspection done before. We were really surprised at all that goes into an inspection. When we set up an appointment on line, he called within hours to confirm. When we arrived at the given time, he was already there outside and looking the exterior over. He was climbing on the roof and reporting any little nails that were exposed in need of taring or replacing. He was in the attic, crawling around looking at insulation and air flow. He reported no exhaust was vented out from the bathroom fans which in time would cause mold and mildew. He made sure every single outlet in the house worked and reported any loose caulking around tub and sinks that needed immediate attention. He took around 50+ pictures. He just worked the house from top to bottom. Nothing left unturned. He was at the house around 3 hours inspecting. He would point out every little detail to us as we went along with him, and was always happy to answer any and all questions we had for him. He was so patient and understanding as we had to bring our 4 year old Granddaughter along with us and she was a little distracting at times but it never seemed to bother him. His report was emailed to us at the end of the day with all pictures and details of flaws in house but in the end, we got the "thumbs up" of approval. I would recommend Tim to anyone who wants a good and thorough house inspection and his price was unbelievable low from what we checked on, from other home inspectors in the area. Our "new home" is 1640 square feet and he only charged us $250. WOW That was so nice since all the other inspectors were like $375 up to $500. We were very pleased with his work.
