Pomarius Nursery

We just needed a couple of specific plants for our outdoor area. Not only are the gardens great when walking around to look at things, everyone is so friendly and helpful with their advice and guidance. If we had a big project coming up, I would not hesitate recommending them for the job. They have an amazing selection of plants and flowers, and the grounds are well-kept and laid out in a way that highlights the plants. It is a hidden gem that is worth the trip no matter where you are located in Portland. If you are in the neightborhood (in NW) it's a great way to find unique and interesting plants for any area you are trying to landscape.

We have been visiting nurseries for the last two years and buying plants for a major landscaping overhaul on our forested property. Finding plants with character is often difficult at commercial nurseries, not so at Pomarius Nursery. Peter Lynn has wonderful plant sense, caring and dedication to his many unusual varieties of specimen plants. We stumbled upon Pomarius Nursery in the Pearl District by chance. We were on a plant hunting adventure and had a car full of Rhododendron purchased from another nursery and were on our way out to Farmington Gardens and Cornell Farms to search out additional species for our forest garden. What we found at Pomarius was a unique experience and a dedicated plant enthusiast willing to answer our questions and guide us to a selection of native plant varieties appropriate to our location. I have returned twice to Pomarius and have found my experience there gets better each time. My knowledge of plants is growing after each pleasant conversation with Peter Lynn. This place is truly a joyful experience of discovery.
