+ 0 moreIt went very well. While Peter and Alec were in our home they upgraded the lighting in the basement, added weather stripping to doors and did other repairs that our home needed. We had a bottom stair on a stair case that was separating and they repaired this as well. This was a wood stair built in 1907 and I was very happy to get that stair repaired.
Description of Work: I hired Peter Briggs to assess our home for an elevator and decided not to do that project but did decide to replace some windows in our 1907 home. He brought a contractor from Marvin Windows to my home who showed me several options. We also replace windows in closets, the basement and the attic which did not need the same level of window and Peter arranged for these window replacements as well.

+ -1 moreHe is very knowledgeable, and I highly recommend him. What I like about him is that he is so personable. He has so many ideas and solutions to problems that come up in old house. He is very ecologically minded. He does everything he can to make it as green as possible. He takes care of all of the materials in the right way. In Oregon we have some ordinances about that, and of course he does it. I don't think people are require to do it, but there is the ability to get rid of any materials in a tear down. He handled that very well. He isn't that expensive. It is great. I just love Peter! We are going to have him do another job soon. We are trying to get the basement ready so our son can have his own little apartment. He is going to do the kitchenette and re-do a bathroom down there, that is including materials. He is very good. The quality of his service is excellent! You can always reach him on his cell. He is very busy.
Description of Work: I used Peter Briggs Contractor to remodel our kitchen and it included pushing the house out and adding a room in our basement. He will be turning that into a kitchenette for our son who is coming hom from Japan.
