Paul S Williams

This was a really big job. Paul was a great guy to work with. We hired him to do the work and I promised some help. The problem was that we had to put in a whole lot of our own time and energy to make sure the job got done in a reasonable amount of time. It took a month. Paul insisted on renting metal rimmed forms. Admittedly, they went up quickly and ensured no blow outs. The problem was in renting them: no one would rent to a home owner. When we finally found a company, Paul had to haul them from Vancouver, WA to Corvallis. They were dirty and many in poor shape. We had to help clean and then put them up. Paul was a 1.5 man show but this job really took at least 4 or 6. During 90 degree days, it got a little frustrating but we muddled through. When the slab was to be done, I had to ensure he had a crew as it was over 800 sqft and I knew he wouldn't be able to do it himself. Due to rain, the job had minor botches in it but it turned out OK. Paul did smaller things wonderfully. He lovingly poured and finished the exterior egress steps to the basement and landing, finishing around a drain with precision. He and my husband poured and finished the front porch, steps, and walkway and it turned out great. Paul is great to work with and is both very kind and patient.
