We had an old laptop that was in bad shape. I knew it was time to call Patty when I was waiting for it to boot-up and watched a snail crawl across the floor. Seriously, this computer was sad. She came over, took a look at it and suggested we copy our files onto a thumb drive and she took the laptop with her. She added more RAM and cleaned up whatever was in there. It ran much better after that. Thanks, Patty. We apologize for being so slow in putting up this review.

She was very good. I give her all A's and will use her again in the future.

My computer worked well after she was done. She apologized for not being able to solve the second problem and decreased my fee substantially. She was gracious and very helpful.

The experience seemed fine. It was expensive but she was okay. She seemed to have gotten it working quickly and it was like she knew what she was doing.

We are a small business, the technical problems Patty took on were most likely on the service provider's end. Patty gave it a shot and did not charge us when she couldn't resolve the problem. I wish the computer hardware repairs guys were as considerate!

Patty was very professional and provided sound advice as well as fixing the problem of many popups which slowed down the machine. She ended up removing many prograns and add ons that slowed down the computer.

Patty's service has been great and we are using her to set up out new system

.I called Patty MacDuffie for two reasons: 1. her reviews and her responses to the reviews on Angie's List, and 2. my dog's name is MacDuff--seemed like a good fit. Patty called back within an hour and made a suggestion over the phone that really worked. My problem is solved and I will call Patty next time I need help with computer issues of any kind. My old computer finally gave out. I phoned Patty, she called me back in less than an hour. While we were on the phone I asked her for suggestions of what I should buy, she gave me some ideas and I got the new computer the next day. She came over on a Sunday to pull photos from my old hard drive, and set up the new computer. I'm not technical, and she was very calm and not judgmental, and basically relieved my anxiety about using a new system. She explained what she was doing and why. If I ever have another problem I will definitely contact her and will recommend her to my non-technical friends who need extra care.

I sent Patty and email with a description of my problem thinking it was a lot more complicated than it turned out to be. I had been suffering some minor internet downloading problems for over a year - starting about the time I bought a new computer. I was ready to have in-house service and pay whatever amount as I had exhausted all other easier solutions. Patty wrote be back right away and her simple diagnosis hit the nail on the head. I went out and bought a replacement for the defective element (the router) and ... my problems were over!!! I wouldn't hesitate a second to contact her again for any future problem.

I looked up computer repair services & called the first three that I thought would be a good match. Patty was the first to return my call. I was able to bring my laptop to her, she quickly diagnosed the issue & reviewed the next steps with me. I agreed to the repair plans & estimate & she went to work. She completed the work the next day & I was up and running again. If I had to have my laptop repaired, I'm SO glad I found Patty. Excellent customer service, knowledgeable, great attitude, all-around superb experience! HIGHLY recommend her (& her wonderful, homemade lemon cashew protein bars). Hoping I don't have to use her services again but, if I do, Patty will be the ONLY person I call!

Patty came to the house and patiently worked on the computer for several hours. There wasn't a virus or malware, as I feared, but problem, as she put it "deep within." As she was still not able to make it perform well, she took it with her to work on so that she could do other thiings while waiting for it to load a newer operating system, security system and the microsoft repair suite. When she returned with the computer a couple of days later, she helped me do a few things with the computer that I had been unable to do before (thanks!).At this point, the computer runs much faster, but I suspect (as did Patty) that it wasn't totally fixed and never could be. BUT, she spent a lot more time on the thing than she charged me for and it works well enough that I could finish some major projects. If it starts cutting up again, she explained how I could get a better computer without any inadvertent flaws. So, I will probably do that...

She was responsive--I got an appointment very quickly--and very professional and pleasant. I will definitely call her again for our next disaster.

Patty arrived on time and did everything I needed and showed me how to do many tasks. I got my pictures all backed up to disks and learned how to do it myself in the future. She cleaned up my computer for me of several issues I didn't know how to do myself.

Great work ethic. There is no wasted motion when Patty is on site and she is a pleasure to deal with.

Pattie was extremely professional, and helpful in cleaning up the new system. She gave me instruction on the new versions of both programs, and helped me learn how to navigate and operate the enhanced system. It was obvious to me that she had vast knowledge and expertise, and was capable of addressing far more complex issues than I presented. She was very easy to work with, patient, and helped me make the transition.

Everything went really well. She seemed to be pretty knowledgeable and know how to work on computers as well.
