Patrick was very professional, keeping in touch with me on the time he would be out. The repair was done quickly and at a fair price. Lately he has been doing mainly remodels but will fit repairs in when he can between jobs or on the way to a job. If it is an emergency he may not be able to do it.

I tried calling over 15 other plumbers that afternoon but nobody could make it on such short notice. He repaired the broken pipe in about 2 hours and his prices were very fair, even more so given the circumstances and the fact it was Labor day weekend. Will definitely call Patrick again.

Four days after the plumber left the drain was dripping again. I called the plumber and asked him to come back. I further mentioned in my voice mail, and quot; I hope you dont intend to charge me for time, as I just paid you four days ago.and quot; Patrick came back a few days later, replaced the part he had mentioned had a bad reputation, and promptly gave my husband a bill for $136.90. When I found out he had billed us again, needless to say I was very upset. I called him and said, we already paid you for this job, how can you justify charging us again. His response was, what did you expect, me to work for free? I told him I was willing to pay for any parts and the time to get those parts but not for labor that we just paid him for. I further told him if we did not get this resolved I would report him to The Better Business Bureau and Angies list. Patricks response to me was, this sink had been an ongoing problem for us as I had told him we had someone out twice before him. When he said this, my rebuttle was... we had a handyman come out before you. We paid him the first time, the second time he did not charge us for work that we had already paid for but I decided to call a plumber to get the drip resolved once and for all. At no time did I say anything other than the and quot;drip had been repaired by a handyman. I thought in closing we were both irritated but came to a resolution of him returning the second check in the amount of $136.90 in return for a check in the amount of $61.40 for the part and time to get the part. When the plumber came back, he returned the check and refused to accept payment for the parts. A few weeks later we received a knock on our door from the City of Portland saying there was a complainted filed saying we had unpermitted plumbing work and no egress in our basement. Hmmmmm I wonder who could have possibly filed this. There is no absolute proof the plumber filed the complaint as the city wont confirm but did say its unfortunate when you hire a professional, and something like this happens. Our issues with the city will be resolved, but its time consuming and frusterating that it even happened.

I have been using Nichols plumbing for a few years now. Called them and they were out of town (Thanksgiving vaca) and he referred me to Pat (Paramount Plumbing). I had called a couple of plumbers including Pat, and left messages as I needed this service done that day. I realized this may be difficult with this being a holiday week. All the others were booked solid and wouldn't make room. When Pat called, he too was booked, but he said he would squeeze me in at the end of day if that was ok. I was thrilled he would even make the room. He showed up at 6pm after a full day and brought the water heater. Finished promptly and professionally, thanked us for using him, and said he wants us to continue to use Nichols Plumbing as he does not like to take business away from other plumbers, that is not his goal. He was very professional and ethical, I would recommend him to others. I am very lucky to actually have two plumbers that I can say are ethical and professional now. I will definately use him again if my plumber is unavailable in the future. Thanks Pat! We have hot water again... also, very reasonable and upfront with pricing.

Patrick is a true professional and highly intelligent. As a general contractor, he has done dozens of jobs for me in the past several years. He actually patented a clever design to secure drain pipes. When Patrick is on the job he will exceed industry and code standards. For example, he will put that extra "clean-out" in because it does not make sense not to. He installed a tricky faucet with zero clearance with creative thinking. Simply put he is a brilliant plumber that can work miracles in tight spaces. He is extremely likable with high integrity. Not all plumbers are created equal. Just because a job passes inspection does not mean its a good job. I learned that the hard way. I can not recommend him highly enough.

A wet spot then leaks began appearing in our kitchen ceiling probably from the bathroom above, found a sink valve leaking in upstairs sink, replaced it ourselves. The leak did not stop, so we began looking for plumbers on Angies list . Came across Paramount a ways down the list but with very good reviews- called them, talked to Patrick the owner and made an appointment- He arrived right on time and found he is a one man operation. He went through everything and patiently explained that we needed a partial re- piping ( old galvanized pipes from the 30's ) he gave us a bid next day and a date to start. We had two other bids but did not go with them because we got a bit too much of the macho plumber jive, Patrick seemed like a pretty straight up guy not pushy at all. Also he allowed us to open up the walls ourselves so as not to have pay him extra to do so. Came re- piping day he arrived as scheduled and set to work only to find the existing pipes were meandering through out the house in weird configurations- The short of the long - it ended up taking him about 5 hours longer than expected but he got it done and we had water that night. Also like the real stand up guy that he is, he did not even mention ''Extras'' and stuck to his original bid. Definitely recommended, nice guy, professional, did a great job and stuck to his price.

Went well, he was on-time, quick, professional, worked with my other contractors well and is easy to talk with.

Patrick showed up on time, did a thorough examination and found a tricky leak. Do be aware that you will need to complete the job with your own drywall repair and painting. He may need to saw into walls and you will be left with holes.

I found a wet floor under a toilet and left a message overnight. Patrick phoned the next morning and said he could come by late in the afternoon. He phoned again earlier in the afternoon, as a new construction project wasn't ready, and came right away and fixed a leaking nut under the toilet, replacing a water hose. Also took a look at a leaking shower head, and advised just replacing it.

Patrick is a really nice guy. Genuinely hard working reasonable. He works fast and has a big truck with all the necessary tools. He alway kept me informed on when he was showing up the next time, etc. Got into some nightmare old house plumbing scenarios that were quickly resolved by Patrick.

It went very well. Patrick came out and fixed the faucet (which was quite old, so its insides had degraded a bit). No more leaks!

The man works really fast. He comes with a big truck and all the needed supplies so there is no waiting for him to drive to the supply store. Nice guy... fast and precise.

He made several suggestions along the way that saved us both time and money. He has a good eye for details and fashion yet was quite budget conscious. We really appreciated his expertise and professionalism.

Patrick was nice, fast, and reasonably priced.H e was very cheery.
