Making the appointment was excellent, they were very polite, knew exactly what they were doing. Would refer them!

Communicating with the Oakley team is easy using their up-to-date messaging systems. Troy came out to give me an estimate and was very knowledgeable and took the time to help me grasp the big picture concerning power to my house as well as the small picture concerning the specific project at hand. Troy and Melanie [in the office] helped me work thru scheduling to meet my needs [not their constraints]. Matt [a real professional] came out to do the work ... and later the final follow-up at the end of the project. Everything was great and the entire experience was a big WIN for me ... and I hope for Oakley. I plan to use them for all my electrical work in the future to maintain continuity, quality and economy.

I had already hung the EVSE and installed the conduit and wiring for the installation. When Steve showed up he completed the installation from the end of the conduit into the electrical box on the wall and switched out the 30 amp breaker with a 40 amp. The installation was done in no time.

Scheduled appointment in timely manner. Happily Steve arrived early and got started to work right away. He took out the box and replaced all the wires, put in a new panel, and grounded electrical, water and furnace. (He had to go into the attic and special wire to grounding material.). Obviously, I know little about electrical work, but he was so knowledgeable and professional that I felt totally confident in him and his work. He turned electricity back on and cleaned up all the discarded wiring, panel board, etc. Just totally impressed with the job he did. Was worth every penny and our lights seem brighter! Highly recommend Steve and Oakley Electric!! I know they are the only company we will call now when we have electrical work that needs done!

Went well. Paul was very nice, efficient and cleaned up after himself.

The only reason they get a D instead of an F is because the estimator, Brandon Talyor, did show up when he said he would. However, he never delivered the promised bid, even after we sent two emails and left a voicemail. We called the office the morning of our appointment, and they did not even have a record of our appointment and did not have a price for us! Maybe the job was too small for them, but it was very rude not to even say that! Now we are starting over trying to get this set up, when it should have been done a week ago. We have company coming in and were hoping to be ready to go, but now it won't be done in time. NEVER even bother to try with these guys, they are unreliable.

They failed to show up at the agreed time or let us know what was going on.

They are very good. I would definitely use them again.

I told them from now on they are my electric guys. They are great.

Robert was sent out in a timely manner.we told him our problems and he gave us a very fair estimate.he came back in a day or two and fixed everything on the list.he was very nice and thorough.we would definitely hire him again.thanks Robert

He failed to install the 50a breaker that was the reason for the call. The electrician left behind a mess. He just left all the packaging the floor, wire nuts from our wires etc. The owner, Troy still tried to bill us $80 for 8 wire nuts , an outlet and cover plate. The total for materials with a 30% markup was only $15.33. The company cancelled 4 appointments before they sent their sub out to install the outlet. The sub insisted that the check be mad out to him because he is friends with the owner. Beware of this company. They are very unprofessional and price gouger's.

The only thing I'm not happy about is them siding for the lady. They told me they had to replace the whole electrical panel so it cost a whole lot of money. They also had a miscommunication with the heat pump. The bus troy was really great in terms of that situation. I like them and the work was good but it was just over-costly.

I got a job on the east coast so i was going to rent out my house in portland. The 3 bedrooms upstairs needed heat because i had switched to gas heat from a gravity feed oil furnace. I bought the heaters and thermostats and left them in the empty house and flew out to Boston. At the same time my partner had bought a house in Vancouver, WA, and was able to be around to let them in and check on things. Well the electrician did something with the power that happened to burn up the motors to the gas furnace, the refrigerator and the garage door opener. My partner went back and forth with the owner that they are responsible for this damage and the owner refused to take responsibility and pay for repairs. This went on for about a week. Finally we wrote up a letter addressed to the BBB and a couple of governmental addresses, faxed it to Oakley and the owner called back in 30 seconds and said they would pay for the repairs. Oh, i forgot to say that i had a light switch in the bedroom that was

They told us that the work was not to code to install a vent fan that had a humidity sensor. I told them you could add an automatic shut off such as a timer. When the state inspector came he stated they were wrong. Now we have a fan that does not work the way it is supposed to, we have to manually to turn on and off the fan. They also installed a new electrical panel. They installed a new panel and removed dry wall where the panel was to go. Instead of measuring it properly they knocked a big whole in the wall. They installed the panel but did not repair the drywall around it. They tore out more drywall than necessary. I then told them it is a fire wall and they can’t remove it and then leave it as is. They then stated we have agreed contractually that I would repair any minor dry wall problems around any light switches or electrical panels. I had to hire another provider to repair the drywall that they refused to fix. I am going to write a letter to the Salem Electrical Inspector about the issues. I am not happy with the service. They were not responsive and told me things that are wrong.

The service was great! They made a creative solution to something that looked impossible to do.
