NW Tub & Shower

These guys believe in customer satisfaction. They made sure that our concerns were addressed even after they had already been paid! For contractors reading this review, I strongly recommend that you get advice from Jet Marnell regarding how to effectively communicate with your clients.

Jet was very professional, explained everything clearly, and made sure I knew what to expect. They showed up on time, and did an excellent job of cleaning up when they were done. The tub looks awesome!

This may well be the most efficient and responsive company we've ever dealt with. The response to my initial inquiry was immediate and all future communications were equally prompt. The ease of describing the problem with our existing shower door and their suggested solution was handled with ease. We communicated via emails in an extremely effective manner. This company delivers what it promises! We would not hesitate to use them again.

Fabulous, they were efficient and did an excellent job. No problems.

The scheduler told me she'd call me back within the next week to set up a time, which she did. The tech showed up on time and fixed both issues perfectly. I wouldn't even be able to tell where the chips were before. Great work.

Carlos completed the work less than two weeks ago. We had some gliches at no fault of the contractor, death in his family then he got the flu but he finished the job very nicely. Cleaned up and I would highly recommend the gentleman. Answered every question we had and he worked with the customer. Very nice young man.

This was the second time we used the provider. Both experiences were great. They did what they said they would do, their price was reasonable, and the tub ended up looking beautiful.

Service provider is VERY slow to return calls. Called on several occasions and did not receive call back for 48-72 hours each time. Generally unsatisfactory for current business standards. Made us feel like they did not need our business. We were looking for someone who WANTED to do the work, and would provide superior customer service--NOT this vendor.

This involved breaking down the old tub, building a shower surround, installing sliding shower doors and retiling the lower half with matching tiles in order to save the original tiles. They also had to repair floor and door trim that were damaged from the removal of the tub (not their fault). They did a great job. They are very professional and look for the most cost-effective way to do a project. I am very happy with their work and pricing.

I was unable to reach the provider on the first attempt but I was able to leave a message. My call was not returned until the next day, which I understand if they are busy. I received a quote but I had already scheduled services with another provider that I was able to contact immediately.

I returned home from work and the only way I even knew they'd been there, was that everything was 'right' again.

The Bathcrest technician removed the damaged area and filled and smoothed the surface and made an exact match to the surrounding service. The tech showed up on time and did a first-rate job. We have many tubs here of similar vintage (about 10 years after installation). Bathcrest has repaired some in the past and we will call Bathcrest if others fail in the future.

I had an excellent experience. I had some trouble with black appearing on the floor but I was able to buy their cleaner, and it cleaned it up . . .looks like new!

They did the job as scheduled and cleaned up after the job was finished. There was one spot that we noticed after they left that was not evenly covered. He returned and touched up the spot. The tub looks great but we do not use it.

It went perfectly fine and Bathcrest of Portland is very nice. I'm sure their price was great or else our remodeler that we were using at the time wouldn't have gone with the company or used them! Even though it has been several years, the bathtub still looks like they just did the work yesterday. Also, when I order my bathmats they are always very professional.

They were very kind, efficient, and they cleaned up very well after themselves. I am very picky about clean up and they met my expectations. The price was reasonable. I definitely would use them again in the future if I needed something like this done again.

I remember being very impressed with how quickly they did the job, and also very impressed with the price. They were recommended to me by my realtor, and they made the tub look brand new. They did a really good job. The tub is brilliant and it still looks brand new. I think the finish is supposed to last about 10 years, but I am honestly thinking about having them come and refinish the tub again in a few years. It was like waving a magic wand and I can't think of any reason I would ever buy a new tub again. They worker was polite, professional, knew what he was doing; he actually even took the time to explain exactly what he was doing with as much detail as I asked him to.

Bathtub was old and had already been refinished twice. The new surface is nice and smooth. The only problem is around the drain where the finish appears to be peeling away from the metal. Tub was a long one - too expensive to replace and too hard to find that length. It is a length that lets tall people leisurely soak, so we didn't want to replace it. The provider employee was very nice, and worked hard to make it a good finish.

What I liked is that I think they were "as advertised." They didn't create expectations that were over the top which was nice. They let us know they weren't miracle workers, and that it wouldn't look like a brand new sink when they were done, but that they would be able to blend and buff in the filler well. They also let us know what we could expect in the timeframe after the repair as well. They got the job done within the time frame they said, and the end result turned out fine. The filler blended really well. We've had no problems since they did the repair, and it still looks the same as the day they did it. They were also good on the phone.

We thought they were very good. They arrived on time and did a good job.

I called for an estimate and scheduled the work to be done. The Bathcrest person (Ricardo) came out and stripped, sanded and re-glazed the tub on a Tuesday. It cured until Thursday when he returned to sand and re-glaze it. After 2 days, we caulked around the tub and then hung the shower doors on Sunday and could use it after that. The glazing does have a very strong smell for about a week, but it goes away. The tub looks great and feels great too.You do have to make sure you use a non-abrasive cleaner on the tub, and don't leave anything on the tub surface or tub walls. If you drop things in the tub, you may scratch the surface. After 8 years, I did have several dings from dropping shampoo bottles, but otherwise, it was easy to care for and continued to look nice.

The process took about 3 hours and then we weren't able to us the tub for a day or two. After that it has been very easy to take care of and clean. We're very happy with the results.

They did a good job. They were punctual and the finished product turned out well.

Carlos Montes of BATHCREST OF PORTLAND installed grab bars and a new toilet in my mother's bathroom. He came and gave her an estimate and thoroughly discussed her options for both the grab bars and the new toilet. She had purchased a grab bar from a medical service that was supposed to be ADA compliant but when he saw it he felt they could provide a safer grab bar. He explained the anchors provided on hers would not hold up well and he was right because when we saw what Bathcrest had, which were a larger diameter too we agreed they were a much better choice. He also discussed with her where she wanted them placed. We did not have to buy a toilet either as they did that for her and at a better price. All the work was done within a week of the estimate and was completed the same day. Mr. Montes and all the staff were a pleasure to work with and we would not hesitate to have them do other work. The cost for the entire job was very reasonable.

. The worker arrived on time, set up the equipment and was very professional in explaining exactly what he would do. He told me when the resurfacing would begin after his set-up work so that I would know when the loud noise from equipment and fumes might occur. He finished the entire job almost one hour sooner than predicted and cleaned up everything before he left. He pointed out that a bubble occurred at the side of the tub which sometimes happens and he would be back after few days of curing time to buff it out. About 3 to 4 days later he returned and buffed out the bubble to make everything soothe. It looks really fabulous, as if it was always a creamy ivory colored tub and shower instead of the blue color it had been. I would recommend this process for anyone who has the 1970's colored fixtures, especially if it is guest bathroom and not used on a daily basis. The company guarantees the product for 5 years.
