NINA'S HOUSECLEANING

It went great! Nina did a fantastic spring house cleaning. Very thorough.

It was great. She knows her business and needs very little guidance.

Nina was excellent. She didn't waste time with prettifying unnecessary stuff, but stuck with what I needed, the deep cleaning I can't do myself.

Wonderful services, consults about what you want and clearly very experienced and knows what needs to be done in every circumstance.

Nina did a thorough walkthrough the day before the cleaning, passing her finger along tops of door moldings and across window blinds, peeking into closets, and inspecting the kitchen and bathroom. She talked quickly and repetitively about how each thing would be cleaned. When she finally took a breath, I told her I wanted 1-1/2 to 2 hours of cleaning every other week. She agreed that was reasonable but said the first time needs extra time and she requested 2-1/2 hours. Nina spent an hour and a half just in the bathroom, grunting and groaning, banging things and slamming things all the while.When she eventually turned her attention to the living room, we could hear OUR vacuum cleaner being knocked around, thumped, and bumped and the motor sounded much louder than normal. After several minutes of this, she announced the vacuum cleaner was not picking anything up and she went to her car to get her own vacuum cleaner. After four and a half hours, she was done. The bed had not been touched. The bathroom was rearranged, the toilet seat left up. Paper towels were strewn about, including one left inside the microwave, another on the kitchen counter, another on the living room floor. Three plants on a shelf were moved and not replaced, and the surface beneath them had not been cleaned. The cat?s very heavy cat climber was moved several feet and not moved back. Pictures on the walls were askew. In short, the place looked more like it had been ransacked than cleaned. Overall, Nina was disorganized and extremely sloppy. She had cleaning products, plastic bags full of who-knows-what, and mops strewn across the hallway outside our apartment so that people could not walk past safely, not to mention the eyesore she created for the long afternoon. She required a maid (me) to tidy up after her. She extended her cleaning time to twice what we had agreed on and charged accordingly. And the clincher: she broke our vacuum cleaner! Is the place cleaner? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely not!

It went great. Nina calls herself a "workhorse" and it's true. Not only was she a hard worker but she was efficient and fast. She explained everything she would do and how she would do it - setting clear expectations at the start. I don't usually have my house cleaned but had to break down recently and get some help as life's demands are a little too great. She was extraordinarily sensitive to my needs as a full-time "career-loving" mom of two with a husband who works 6 and 1/2 days a week.

I love love love Nina. She is so personable and is such a hard worker. I love coming home to such a clean house. I'd recommend her to anyone!

I have been using Nina for several months, finding her on Angie's List and noting her good reviews. She has been good and has worked very hard -- I usually leave when she is working to get out of her way. My husband works out of the house, and today he was home while she was there. He walked into the master bedroom looking for me and found her taking a shower in our master bath. All the doors were wide open; obviously she didn't think anyone was home. He phoned me and I came home; we sat down and talked to her about it. She admitted that she had showered in the house. When I asked her if she had done it before, she didn't really answer. She admitted it was the wrong thing to do. I'm just sick about it -- I thought I had found the perfect cleaning lady but now I don't trust her.

We were moving from out of state into our new, big fixer house. The house walls and ceiling were all freshly plastered, the previous owner left it a mess, and we were going to be arriving very late with a big moving truck. Since the house was filthy we hired Nina to get it ready for us on arrival. She was really easy to talk with (never even met her, it was all phone chats). She had no problem with working the Sunday before christmas, since her week was already booked up. Amazing! She called us during our long day of driving with house status updates as she cleaned. We hadn't seen any of the completed remodeling yet and had questions about ongoing renovations ("Nina, do we have a working shower?"). She's a trusting person, which means she's trustworthy herself. When we arrived exhausted and weary the kids could take off their shoes and play in the big empty house. I didn't have to worry about construction debris. The next day we were able to unload the truck and put things right in the cupboards. Her communication and excellent clean up really helped our moving stress.

Our previous house cleaner retired so we gave Nina a try. She did a thorough job cleaning our house but it took eight hours, much longer than any other cleaner we have used. And she charged quite a bit more than our previous cleaners. So we will give other house cleaners a try.

Nina was very thorough with her cleaning, she is always very professional in her approach and takes her job seriously. Her price is reasonable and one important note is that I trust her completely as I leave her the key, she does her work while I'm at work and when I come home I have a clean house. She is very accommodating to my busy schedule. She is an interesting person to talk to as well and a bit quirky but in a good way. I would recommend her highly for residential cleaning.

Nina comes in and transforms our place. She sees and fixed surges that we didn't notice till they are gone. If she is going to be 1/2 hour late, she phones first. Very friendly and kind.

Nina does a very good job - especially for the amount of money she charges. She was at our house for about six and half hours doing some heavy cleaning and we were glad to pay her bill for what she did. There are times when I'll find little pieces of TP on the toilet or floor or maybe feathers from her duster that got caught on something but overall she cleans things very well and has NEVER missed an appointment after three years of service every other week. That's impressive!

Nina has worked for us consistently for the past 2+ years and we are thankful to have her clean our house. She is prompt, reliable and responsible. We feel the rate of pay for her work is fair. Nina readily asks for feedback and can handle varying customer-specific cleaning requests and directions. We've been happy with her service and would recommend her to others. Nina isn't speedy because she is thorough and methodical. We particularly like that she really cleans and doesn't just "polish". During her first visit or two, she did a "deep" clean which really was removing soap film and other grim left by a previous cleaning service. We also like that she has never used any substitutes or helpers. Like anyone, she has unexpected schedule changes due to weather, etc. In those cases, she communicates any issue and we have always been able to reschedule. Normally we keep the pets out of her way, but she seems comfortable around them. We also try to remove clutter ahead of her visit so she has better access to the areas we need cleaned.

Nina has been cleaning for us for several years. She is extremely reliable, communicates when due to holidays or inclement weather her schedule needs to change. Nina is great with animals. Nina's rates are a bit high, but she only charges for the time she is cleaning not the loading or unloading of the car of getting setup. It is true when she starts going she is a bit of a dust busting dervish. We are very appreciative of the work she does and feel very fortunate. We highly recommend her.

Nina has cleaned our home three times in the last 6 weeks. She focuses on areas that we ask her to focus on and does a great job. She is prompt, reliable and security-conscious. We really like her.

Nina has been cleaning my 2 br 1 bath home since 5/11. @ her 1st visit I noted she cleaned in an unconventional manner. She closed the bathroom door while she cleaned in there, she is disorganized appearing-lays down the mop in the middle of the floor, lays down the vacum when shes not using it. Also, 3 weeks into our relationship I discovered by accident that she wasnt using my hepa filter vacum but hers an upright bagless which she bought 2nd hand @ good will. She never told me mine wasnt working. At the same time I found a flee in my home so I called her and told her about the flea ( it could have come from my cats or dog too although we didnt have fleas and havent seen any since) I asked her to stop using her vacume and to only use my cleaners and my supplies. I then went out and bought a $500 double hepa vacum at sears and now have figured out she isnt really using it. The bag has very little in it. but the brush is covered w/ cat hair so Im thinking she doesnt know that it has be removed and let go up the hose during vacuming or else it cant pick up any more. Now Im thinking she doesnt know what she s doing and Im going to end our relationship. I was hoping that the method of cleaning would nt make such a difference but it does to me. I do want to make clear that at the end of every 4hr cleaning job, the house looked clean and wonderful and that has always been the case. My problem is her methods.

She was a good cleaner. Our house was always left very clean. She cleaned our home for a few months but then said she could not perform the work anymore.

We were getting ready for a big dinner party at our house, and strapped for someone to help me make my first floor guest-friendly (my usual girl wasn't available), I found Nina's name on angieslist. She was the only person to pick up the phone, and she even saw me same-day. I was enchanted by her fresh, hardy attitude and stick-to-it-iveness. She takes honor in cleaning, sweating, and making things neat. She whirled around my first floor, dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing, polishing, and picking up after the tornadoes my two toddlers caused.

She is very thorough and always does a good job.

She is fantastic and is great with pets. I would recommend her to anyone.

Great. I just had just had my basement staircase and kitchen drywalled. There was a ton of dust. Nina cleaned the entire basement from top to bottom. I had no issues with her and totally thought she was wonderful. I just told a friend to hire her. I am having her back in 4 days to clean the kitchen.

It went really well. I have used her a couple of times now. She is quirky, thorough, and just does a really good job for the price. She is always on time and calls if she can not.

We were in the middle of a do-it-ourselves home remodel job in our living room. Upon turning on our gas furnace there was so much debris in the system that a filter unknowingly dislodged. The entire content of our home became coated with gypsum dust. As we have a 1yr old daughter & are quite concerned with the breathing in of chemicals/particles, we quickly moved in with family and became frantic with how to clean the mess. We took advantage of my brother-in-law's Angie's List gift and made calls to 5 numbers. Nina was the only one who answered her phone and was immediately concerned with our situation. She admitted that our home in Sherwood was a long way for her to drive although agreed to help us regardless understanding that we were in great need. Nina, with my husband and mother alongside, dove right in and cleaned every surface in our home from floor boards to shower tiles. We had to leave a key under our mat for Nina without meeting her first-she is completely trustworthy.

Nina arrived a few minutes late due to traffic. However, she did bring a can-do, ready to roll up her sleeves and get going attitude from the very beginning. Nina quickly unloaded her car of all her own cleaning supplies (many rags, big dust mop, cleansers, etc.). We had a brief conversation about our priorities for cleaning and she set to work immediately on the bathroom. I've never seen our bathtub that clean, despite my many efforts. Eight hours later, the downstairs was spotless. Picture frames, wine bottles, the wire snarl behind the entertainment center, under the couch, baseboards, picture molding -- all were sparkling clean! My only two points of critique are 1) Bleach was heavily used. While I value the antiseptic aspects of using bleach, I am concerned about it's environmental impact. 2) The cleaning took more time than anticipated and I would have loved to have the upstairs also cleaned. Overall, Nina did a fantastic job. I would hire her again.
