Neil Kelly Company

Paid $99 for a Angies Big Deal and he had to come back to complete all the jobs. I haven't yet gotten my invoice from the additional hours. The repair person was courteous and efficient. It all went very well. He was able to come back to complete the outside job without me on site.

Fixed all we asked fast and was very professional. This is the second time I have used Neil Kelly and will use them the next time.

Richard helped remove a small tree with a braided trunk that was overgrown and had begun to topple the fence. There was a big tangled mess at the top of the fence where the vines and leaves had grown to provide privacy but were now too heavy. He cut everything up into small pieces so that it would fit in the yard debris container and helped secure the fence. He also fixed a loose shower fixture that could have cause a major water leak. He gave me great advice on how to fix some minor issues around the house that didn't require his skill level. He stayed more than the 2 hours I paid him for and was very easy to work with.

UPDATE: 05/19/2014 I was asked to remove negative comments about this company, by a friend, so I have done so, as much as I can They have stepped up their Responsiveness, at least they are trying to correct the problems.... I still would not recommend this company to anyone, while some of the people are nice, they are to disorganized to provide an adequate service. I am not certain, that everyone is qualified to do the jobs they perform. And too, many people trying to correct the same issues.

Janel was professional, punctual, and very detailed in her information. She did an excellent job of learning exactly what my needs were going to be, and has the education and background to provide guidance and sound suggestions. All her references raved about her and the work she did for them, even though costs were an issue with everyone. If I had an unlimited supply of money I would not hesitate to use Janel and the Neil Kelly team; unfortunately I am not a rich person with no need to budget for my future needs.

Lonnie was great. He finished the projects perfectly, then cleaned up after each job. It was soooo much easier than trying to get my husband to do those chores. ;-)

He furnished lag bolts and caulk. He had multiple tints of caulk so could match us well. He taught me how to caulk.

It became apparent that the pocket door project would be much more complicated and expensive than we had realized, due to the load bearing wall it would have to go in, so my husband abandoned the idea, although he very much appreciated the advice of the guys from Neil Kelly. if he had continued the project on his own, it could have been disastrous!! So their advice and expertise alone was very much worth the $99 we paid for the Big Deal. The plumbing work was pretty simple, but they did it efficiently and it went well. Both of the guys clearly knew what they were doing and we felt very confident in their advice. Unfortunately, the first thing my husband had one of the guys do was to install a vertical beam to support the floor under the pocket door, which turned out to be unnecessary work since he later decided not to continue with the pocket door project as a result of their advice.

ts I had, under circumstances I could not control, moved in with my middle son, who is a disabled veteran. He lives in a very small studio, well, actually a very BIG studio, which is working out for us. My bed is in the living room part of the studio, which also had a kind of cut out in the wall, which looked like it would work as a closet for me. The gentleman came out, on time, and hung 2 rods, one higher, and one lower, and it is perfect. All of my garments, except the ones I can fold and put in drawers, fit there nicely. Then he hung a couple of shelves. He did a good job. The only problem I had is it seemed sometimes that he was wasting time, going in an out to his truck several times, and generally just killing time. It seemed like 2 hours was a long time for a professional to hang a couple of rods and hang a couple of shelves. I would have liked him to hang some of my family photographs on the walls, but he ran out of time. I could be wrong. That is the only reason I gave him A's

I decided to have the work done by a relative. I would definitely hire this company if I have any other needs come up.

We originally wanted a few things done, but after learning that they wouldn't be able to look at plumbing issues or electrical issues (he told us he didn't have much experience with plumbing or our specific electrical issue and he would consult other folks), we switched our to-do list around. We went with getting the toe-kicks stained and nailed in place along with getting a motion sensor light done above our garage. The toe-kick project took the full two hours (with about 15 minutes to spare, but we didn't want to have to schedule or pay for another visit to get the lights installed.) It took a long while to get an appointment scheduled as both parties were busy. When we finally decided on a date, the handyman arrived on time. It was an okay job. He had appropriate tools on hand as far as I could tell. We provided the stain & brush. It wasn't a hard job, but it didn't seem like he knew much about staining and how it would hold to the wood or how much we would need and such. Maybe that's not part of a handyman's job. I'm not sure just getting the toe kicks done was worth $110, but we were glad to get that checked off our to-do list.

Mostly described, above. Larry was punctual, professional, listened to what I wanted and how I proposed to do it, then offered ideas for how it might be done better. I was very pleased.

I was quite impressed with this company (probably should rave about it!), which was even better than the last one I used. The only issue was with one of the subcontractors, but the owner of that company promptly corrected the situation.

We wanted to convert an existing kitchenette in our finished basement to a wet bar. Our first meeting she spent a few hours touring our home, listening to our ideas and really understood what we were going for with style and functionality. She was incredibly creative in dealing with our difficult space that butted up to the under stairs area, as well as had a load bearing wall. We were also still living out of state and she was great about scheduling us while we were in town. Project took about two months. Her team always kept us in the loop as far as schedule and their subcontractors were professional. We did have one small issue with a sub, but Janel handled it immediately and were very gracious. Extras: Upon moving in to our home, we had a problem with furniture not fitting through a small sliding patio door. We called Janel and she sent over a handyman who removed our doors and allowed us to get the sectional into our basement family room within hours. We are planning to have Janel reface a fireplace near the wet bar as well as add bar seating. In the meantime they have walled off our fireplace until we can complete it and you'd never know it's there! We can't recommend Janel and Neil Kelly enough!

The service was good. He changed bulbs on our porch lights. He also fixed a toilet that I had previously tried to fix myself because water was constantly running. Recently I noticed that water is running again which is about two months after he fixed the toilet.

Just awful....better to hire high school kids from wood shop. 7 years later every work done falling apart.....Horrible and over rated. And over priced.

he came in explained what he was going to do and did exactly that. he also made sure i knew what he was doing and work very diligently to get the matter resolved.
