MOVE IT OR LOSE IT INC

I found out they are not licensed or bonded. I did not use them.

We hired 2 men for 3 hours. They knew exactly what to do and how to do it. We had some pretty heavy items and they made it look effortless. They were awesome. I would recommend them any time and use them again any time.

They were on time. I wasn't there for most of the move (I stopped by briefly for the last of the pack-up and was surprised at how long it was taking). I was even more surprised to get a call from my daughter later, saying that we were short by $60! Apparently they charge for travel time from their office (wherever that might be) in the morning - which I WAS NOT told about on the phone, despite what Ryan claimed and will likely claim here - so there was an additional charge, plus the 3 hours we were quoted actually rolled over to 3.5 hours. We are talking about a single mom who doesn't have credit cards or checks, so she had pulled out just enough to cover what we had been quoted. I would be a lot less upset about this had I not felt threatened by one of the movers, who refused to call his boss; stating he would start moving items out of the home if we did not come up with the rest of the money immediately. What astoundingly good customer service! I should have checked AL first!

The only thing I noticed in the loading (not until I got here) they put my stove on top of my grandmothers writing desk. Did not secure the load, because they had to leave. The load shifted, and gouged my writing desk. They were fast, but not too thorough. Had to keep reminding them of stuff in the tool shed.

Excellent job. Workers were careful and very fast.

A friend recommended them to me. (Same one who recommended Angie's list to me.) Their rate was higher than when he moved with them, but I blame gas prices for that. They were an hour late, but they called before hand and told me the delay. The movers were much faster than the previous movers I had hired. They got everything out and into the truck in a very short period of time. They have a three hour minimum, but the job took three hours, so it worked out. They did a very good job and I would hire them again.

The owner and one helper showed up several hours early despite the fact that I had called a few days before to confirm the correct time. They left to go do the job scheduled after mine, but then came back shortly, I assume because those folks didn't want to go early either. While loading the truck (which was small and I ended up making more trips later in my car), the owner kept getting calls on his cell which he would answer. He was scheduling new appointments and talking to people looking for work. I felt that he should let voice mail pick up calls while he was working a job in which I'm paying by the hour. While unloading, they dropped several things including part of a desk which left quite a big dent. Most of my stuff is older so I didn't make a big deal about it, but if you are moving nicer pieces, I would stay away from this company. Also be aware that they charge double time while driving, which can add up if you are moving more than a few miles or hit heavy traffic.
