MM Design Build LLC

Our 1959 master bathroom shower had developed a leak; upon closer inspection we discovered the loose tile had allowed water to saturate the original drywall. We demolished most of it on our own and after 'kicking the tires' at Home Depot and Lowe's, etc., decided we did not have the time to take on rebuilding the shower ourselves, nor did we like the pre-fab shower kits. We solicited proposals from 5 contractors and asked them to help us think through simply rebuilding the existing shower or modifying it and other components in the bathroom. In the end, we chose MM Design Build LLC because Matt had previously done some work for us at our business and we were completely pleased with his work and the results. Of the 5 proposals we got, only 1 other impressed us. Most proposals came in at comparable prices. Matt came to the house, listened to our situation and ideas, and helped us come up with a plan that would allow us to maximize the space and use of the bathroom without major changes. (We wanted to keep it in line with the original era of the home and opted to keep the existing cabinetry and countertop.) Matt arranged for us to meet at a showroom in NW PDX where a consultant helped us think through some design ideas for tiling, flooring, etc. Matt also arranged to meet me at George Morlan to help me select fixtures. He was very patient and flexible with us throughout the process and gave us the extra time we needed to make our decision. Matt is very reliable and punctual. He responded quickly and remained in contact throughout the entire process. He showed up on time and did much of the work himself; he coordinated with subcontractors as necessary (i.e. sheetrock installers, tilers, painters). He even trouble-shot some unanticipated issues that were not necessarily related to the project.
