METRO MOVING

Took forever but due to amount of stuff and not speed of movers. No complaints from them at the unexpected amount of time it took.

They brought 3 guys and a 24ft truck on time in the morning. It only took them 4.5hrs to load, move, and unload our house, plus they only charged for the time from when they arrived at our house, not from when they left their office like most other movers. Their rate was excellent. They were very fast and gentle with all of our items, including all of our appliances, electronics, furniture, and boxes. They didn't need extra direction on where to put things in the new house, so supervising them was a breeze. They were very friendly and courteous.

We needed to switch beds from two rooms to aid my disabled husband. They sent a crew the next morning. Clark and Dan (hope I got the names correct) were efficient, courteous, and got the job done quickly. I would definitely use this company for any future moves. They made the lives of these seniors immensely easier.

Bill of Metro Movers is always extremely responsive and helpful. He assigned this job to his guys, Steven and Kenny. Steve and Kenny were just terrific! They were on time, totally friendly and helpful. They did a great job and showed extra attentiveness to being in an assisted living facility, moving among the residents with care and a positive energy. the move was a total success! I love Metro Movers!! Bill never lets me down and always responds immediately and he and all his staff show a high level of professionalism.

Joe and Curtis moved a very heavy treadmill downstairs, to another house, and then back upstairs. They did not even so much as touch a wall or banister or doorway with the treadmill the entire hime. I have never had movers that are no cautious and precise. They also helped me move mattresses and box springs and bed frames downstairs. Even though they were not moving these things far they took care and asked me if I wanted them wrapped for future moving. These guys were courteous and detail oriented. I will definitely use them again.

My initial experience with Bill was very good - brought boxes and tape promptly and provided estimate for move. There were definitely some concerns regarding the efficiency of the movers and safety procedures with reassembly of furniture. I addressed my concerns with the owner, Bill who was very responsive. He told me that he would review procedures with his crew and refunded a portion of my invoice.

They are the best moving service you could use.

They had to change the date because we had a terrible heat wave, but then they were two hours late to the second appointment. They estimated four hours for the move, but it took 12 hours. They had two people show up. One of the young men was wonderful, but the other told me that he could not take things down the stairs. It turned out that my husband and I had to move our bedroom set down the stairs alone. The owner would not send anyone else out, and we called several times. In the end, we tried to negotiate a reduced rate, but even then it was double what we had planned on spending.

Worked pretty hard and did a good job. Asked where I wanted boxes put and were responsive to my requests. Were careful and didn't bring hand carts into the house...didn't track all over the carpet. Very reasonable price IMO.

Here's the thing with this company - they're very good when they're on time. Their movers are friendly and careful with your stuff. However, they are on time about 50% of the time as is my experience. If you want service on time, it seems that you must schedule your move for first thing in the morning, if that's not possible, be prepared with a Plan B. On my move, they were 4 hours late and THEN told me their truck broke down. Trucks break down, it happens, its not under their control. However, the scheduler should screen their clients more thoroughly to make sure they do not continue to be "surprised" by the size/complexity of customers' moves when they schedule a service. I will probably continue to use this service for work purposes, but reluctantly and only when other options are not available. My advice is to proceed with caution.

I had a brand new wood dining table that I had moved myself and removed the legs. When they packed it, they insisted they didn't need to remove the legs, and when they arrived at my new home a leg was completely broken off! Two dressers were ripped up also. It took me approximately 3 months to get reimbursed for the damage.

I called a lot of moving companies to get quotes for this move. I'd also heard a lot of horror stories from friends who had bad moving experiences so I was prepared to have an unpleasant experience. However, that was not the case. Two guys showed up at my house with a truck and went through the house to see everything that needed to be moved. They were efficient, hard working and careful with all my stuff. They had me moved from one location to the other in three hours. They did an amazing job and it was worth every penny.

They were fast, careful, and very reasonable. I would use them again, and have already recommended Metro Moving to friends.
