+ -1 moreHorrible. Mr. Lee left me in the lurch with a timeline that is now disrupted on a job that needs to get finished.
Description of Work: Mr. Lee came to my house and gave me a price to paint the interior trim and doors. We negotiated that I would perform the caulking and he would tape and paint. We agreed on a price and he scheduled the work. He called me the night before to see if he could get in the house (vacant) as early as 6:00 am on the day the work was to be performed. My phone rang at 7:00 am on the day he was to be working and he said he could no longer do the job and was leaving. We spoke for about 15 minutes and he just gave me a bunch of excuses about how he didn't realize how much work was involved. I could not believe it, he came to the house, he walked through the house he saw with his own eyes the conditions he was dealing with. He bid the job on the spot and we agreed to the work. Then he changes his mind??? Very unprofessional, I still can't believe he left me hanging like that. And, he took down all the masking that his workers had done, he could have at least left that in place for someone else. Then would not return any calls to see if we could renegotiate the price to see if we could come to an agreement. As I said, extremely unprofessional.

+ -1 moreCould not have been worse. I was bid $1300 for two coats of paint, prep, everything. I thought wow what great price. They show up start to finish from 8 AM to 2:30 PM with only once coat of paint. I ask them about the streaking and they tell me, "It's wet". Will be fine when dry." Next day.paint is dry and streaks are worse. I stop payment on the check, call them and ask them to finish the job with the 2nd coat. They come right out and then tell me it will fade in two weeks and look fine. I tell them I want the 2nd coat on and on and on. The father gets mad at me and says, "We do no more." So they didn't get a 2nd check either. Today I looked closer at the paint job and it is worse than I thought yesterday. Very bad experience. Contractor license they gave me belonged to a family member, not to Lee's Painting. The paint chips I chose my colors from were Sherwin Williams. I was told that was what they used. The paint is from Rhodda.
