This place is run like an old fashioned family business with humans who want to be helpful. The torsion spring on our garage door broke so I made an appointment to have it replaced the next day. Unfortunately, we found that the door was effectively locked shut. We needed to get the car out of the garage the next morning so I called back and talked to Becca about getting someone out sooner. She calmed me down and had Jody come by on his way back from his last assignment. Jody was friendly, professional, and efficient. He replaced the spring, tightened the nuts, lubricated the hinges and rollers, and reconnected the cables. After all that, he cleaned up his work area and left us in a cheerful mood. It was wonderful doing business with them.

Knowledgeable, prompt and affordable. These people know the meaning of customer service. Sean, the repair person, is a seasoned veteran at this work and it showed. Thanks for the quick reply and outstanding work.

Great. The service tech was on time if not a bit early. He explained to me why he recommended we replace both springs when only one was broken. He replaced the parts, oiled all the moving parts and then took the time to show me how to oil the parts when it was time to do it again. I appreciated him giving me the detailed instructions.

"I am plenty busy right now" was the response. Apparently isn't all that much focused on customer service. Awful.

Larry showed up on time and gave a detailed bid. He talked me out of the higher R value doors as they are not needed in this area. Told me they would be whisper quiet, and they are. The windows in them add just the right light. He knew what would look best on our home, and the installer did an awesome job.

Everything went smooth - the technician arrived about 1.5 hours after I initially placed a call and was finished in about 45 minutes. He even adjusted the railing to to allow the wheels to move with less friction resulting in smoother opening and closing of the garage door. I will definitely utilize Larry Myers Garage Doors again in the future, and highly recommend them.

They scheduled quickly. They arrived timely. They told us that the door and the structure of the opener were fine and only needed to be lubricated. I wanted a new keypad which they had on the truck and swiftly installed. They reassured us nothing more was needed. They suggested recheck in 2-3 years just to be sure all was fine.

Very smoothly. Professional in every way and took the stress out of a big job.

Luckily, I did not agree to have the work done. I was lied to and will never use Larry Myers.

In mid-October I returned to my residence to find my garage door won?t open. Phoned Larry Myers Garage Doors, got an immediate call-back. They promptly sent Ken, a genial, knowledgeable gentleman who said motor gears on door opener were stripped, motor must be replaced, several hinges on door are broken, and some other minor door repairs are needed. New motor would require new opener devices, cost would be around $350. Ken said I must first hire an electrician to remove hard wiring from garage ceiling and install a plug-in box within 5 feet of the new motor. Larry Myers Garage Doors could then replace old motor with new one. I asked if, considering age of door, it would be best to replace it. Ken, who had also checked the springs, etc., said he didn?t believe that was necessary. There was no charge for Ken?s visit and diagnosis. I then phoned Amp Electric (separate review) who sent someone the following day to do the required electrical work. The day after that, Larry Myers Garage Doors sent Jim and Justin to me. These young men arrived as scheduled, worked quickly and efficiently, all the while joking back and forth with each other. They were amusing enough that I pulled up a chair in the garage to enjoy the show. As they checked out the door, I again asked if it would be wiser for me to replace the garage door. They opined that a replacement door was not necessary at this time. (Their honesty, as well as Ken?s, did not escape me.) In record time Jim and Justin installed new motor, wall switch, replaced several broken hinges, oiled the springs, thoroughly tested door?s operation, provided two opener devices and answered my questions. Final charge was $330. There was no extra charge for the highly entertaining Jim and Justin Comedy Show. This was a fast, efficient, and ultimately effective operation from the word go. Calls were immediately returned, people showed up as scheduled, I couldn?t ask for nicer people to deal with, and my ancient garage door is acting/sounding like it?s young again. I?ve waited a while to write this review, thinking the garage door might still die. It hasn?t. Thanks, Ken, Jim and Justin, and Larry Myers Garage Doors, for making this costly repair so much less painful than it might have been.

I've used Larry Meyers service twice now, and I cannot say enough good about them. The last time was this summer. Our garage door was dented by our teenage driver several years ago, and in July the joints in several of the panels finally broke. A Larry Myers associate came out promptly, and estimated that installing new panels would be $800.00. He also gave us an option to go with used panels, which cut the cost nearly in half! That's what we did, and we could not be happier with the result. They even re-did all the gaskets with an upgrade from what we had previously at no charge. After we painted our "multi color" door, it matched perfectly. They were prompt to quote, did exactly what they said they'd do, for less than we'd expected to pay. It was our 2nd great experience with this company. The first was even more meaningful. In March 2008, I got laid off during the downturn. A few days after Just as we were headed for broke financially, the spring on our garage door broke. I explained the situation to Larry Meyer, and they discounted the job for me. It meant a lot that they understood our predicament, and stepped up to help, though they had absolutely no obligation to do so. This company is Class A in my book!

Oh my goodness, we could not be happier. From ease of getting a round idea of the price over the phone, to the owner coming to the house and assessing our needs quickly, to the installer even coming early for our appt. and working quickly and efficiently, cleaning up after very well, and explaining everything thoroughly...this was so very easy. We are so pleased with the results. What a difference this will mean for our daughter and grandchildren's safety and security and convenience and beauty of this home. the vendor claims to provide same day service, and there are a number of positive reviews corroborating their advertising. All of the feedback indicated a quick, responsive company. I contacted them early this morning and have had no response at all. I am reluctant to hire a company that fails to respond to customers.

I called at 8:30 AM and got a quote for replacing both springs on garage door. Repairman showed up at 10:30 AM as promised. He told me that I didn't have to replace the second spring, but recommended that I do. I chose to replace both springs. He replace the broken springs in about an hour. He also lubricated and adjusted the garage door mechanism so that it works better than it has for years. Repairman was friendly and professional.

I was going to tackle the job myself, but decided to call in an expert if I could find someone who would come today. Called Larry Myers first thing this morning and he told me that he could have someone come out between 11 and 1, and the cost would be $50. I would have probably spent at least one day fixing my problem. Andy showed up on time, and he spent an hour working on the door. Afterward he explained everything he did, and I must say I was impressed.

I have used him before. He has always been really good. I did do some price matching but decided to go with Larry anyway and I'm happy that I did. I would definitely use him again. He is very punctual and knowledgeable in his field and that shows up in his work.

First of all, I chose Larry Myers Garage Doors from online reviews and the fact that they this is a second-generation local business. Their website is also helpful. Larry came to our location and looked-over what was needed. In the days that followed we communicated about what the options would be to get more light into the space. Larry knew exactly what kind of door sections were needed and he and his office staff, Anneke and Elizabeth, communicated with both the manufacturer and me about what the product would be and when the manufacturer would have the product made and delivered. I was impressed that the date given turned out to be the exact date of the installation. Doug and Adam came over and installed the new windowed sections in the large door. They did a great job, cleaned the work area, and were very pleasant to have on the property. Doug studied the operation of the door and determined that a new set of counter-springs might be necessary due to the additional weight of the new windowed sections. Larry had indicated the same thing when he assessed the situation before we placed an order. Doug and Ken returned two days later and installed new springs and roller bearing, lubricated the system and had it in great working order when they left. This entire experience with Larry Myers Garage Doors was great and I would recommend them highly to anyone.

Provided quick estimate over phone for replacing my dented garage door. Larry then stopped by to confirm the estimate. Replaced garage door in timely and professional manner. Hauled away the old garage door. Cleaned up the work area.
