Fantastic! The floors look amazing and will last another ten years, which they would not have otherwise. Dean was prompt in all of his replies and appointments with me and obviously knows hardwood floors very well. I will definitely be contacting Dean for additional work in other rooms and in fact have already discussed work that he will be doing in my kitchen. I highly recommend him!

Dean Lane refinished the hardwood floor in our bedroom a few years ago, and we were so pleased with his work that we called him to estimate refinishing our living room and hall. He was able to patch a damaged area of the oak hardwood in the living room so that you would not even realize the 50 year old floor had been repaired. He responded quickly to our estimate request, set the date to do the work, and was extremely organized and orderly in approaching the job. He is a true craftsman, and we would definitely hire him again.

Dean did a wonderful job on our floor and we are expecting to hire him again for our downstairs. He was punctual and cleaned everything up when finished. We really appreciated Dean's knowledge of his craft, and his help in explaining our options (repairs, stains, finishes, etc.) Everything looks great, and we can't wait to get our downstairs rooms ready for their refinishing. He came recommended by a neighbor. Because we were on kind of a time crunch, he was willing to start work on the floors the next day, by coming in the evenings (he happened to live close enough to make that doable). It might have taken him a couple of days longer by breaking the job down over several days but we were grateful that he was willing to double up his work day like that for us. He worked hard and the floors look great - the older floors have a lot of "patina", but the finish is clean and smooth. The edges and corners are all crisp and clean and there is a noticeably better sanding job on the bedroom that we hadn't finished sanding than on the bedroom that we had sanded pretty close to done. We spent some time discussing how much filler to use (we didn't want gaps between fir boards filled, but some gouges and other holes were filled) and he nailed some boards that had been cut short and consequently had too much give.

Set up appointment a couple of days in advance, canceled on day of estimate. Had made arrangements to leave work early that day to meet him. I had time to rearrange things.

We are extremely happy with the work that Dean and David performed. They were conscientious about every aspect of the job, from the prep to the clean up. We have already recommended Lane Hardwoods to a few friends who are looking to have floor work done.

Dean is a hardwood floor expert. He gave us a really good price on the wood. I would recommend him and use him again.
