 + 1 moreShawn was very responsive in providing a quote and scheduling the work. He was able to start the project in a week after providing the quote. The time was supposed to be 2 weeks for completion but ended up being 4 weeks due to the weather turning cold and rainy. Project turned out real good in the end with a great looking fireplace and patio. Only thing on quality I have an issue with is that the flagstone is not as even/flat as the existing patio stone that it was extended from, but that could be partially the stone that I purchased to use were not as consistently flat. One thing I will say Shawn is very fair and does not try to up charge for every little item that changes during the project. Originally I did not have a full length hearth across the front of the fireplace and he added it for the cost of materials only.
Description of Work: Installed flagstone over a concrete patio and built a fireplace/hearth on the patio. They also wrapped the columns on the new gazebo halfway with stone columns.

 + 0 moreI need a retaining wall repaired due to a fallen stone. I emailed Shawn Ladd on 10/7. He called and emailed back on 10/8. He stopped by to see the damage on 10/8. He quoted $200 and said he could do it on 10/15. On the 15th, he emailed to say that he was running late and would not be able to make it that day. I heard nothing more from him, so I emailed him on 10/28. There was no response. I called and left him a message on 11/6. Still no response--and my wall still needs repair. This is extremely unprofessional behavior. If he is ill, too busy or away, he could at least have emailed or called to let me know, but to not communicate at all defies logic. How can he expect anyone to trust him after such behavior?

 + -1 moreWe were really impressed with Shawn Ladd. He was professional, on time, worked over time to get the job done and he quoted us a great price. Our house has a totally new look that is absolutely beautiful.
Description of Work: Replaced 2 rotting wood pillars with stone and added cultured stone as a chair rail around the entire porch and side of garage door.

 + -1 moreShawn did an excellent job. He dug and laid the foundation, built the block wall, and then faced the wall with stone. He is a true artist. Each piece of stone was hand chiseled to make it fit. The final product is beautiful. He always came on time and cleaned up as he went. Very good stone mason.
