Kip met on site to provide a free estimate (approx $9,700) a few days after I contacted him. His bid was on par with others and I went with him because I had seen his work and his crew was able to start just a week later. The bid included removal of existing carpet, replacement of several boards stained with pet urine, and options for staining. David and Jose showed up on time and worked diligently for seven days to finish the job. Kip initially suggested an oil-based finish but we were concerned about VOCs and odor, and he recommended water-based Bona Traffic. We opted to go without stain after viewing samples and Kip took that off the bill, along with a few other options we declined. After the job was finished, Kip sent employees out to fix a few minor issues without any hassle at all. Our floors are beautiful! Kip is very relaxed (no formal contract, no payment schedule) and flexible, but completely professional at the same time. Highly recommended!

It was easy to schedule a time with Kip for him to view the space and he followed up promptly with an estimate. We had some time constraints for the job. We wanted our floors to be put in before we moved in. Luckily, Kip had some availability, and got the ball rolling immediately, promptly ordering the red oak that we needed and giving it time to acclimate. David and George from Kip's team worked on our floors. They were both personable, friendly, and respectful of our space (they had our keys so they could independently manage their schedule and we were rarely on site). Most importantly they did a wonderful job and were patient and helpful as we chose our stain color. Both Kip and the team were easy to communicate with, and prompt in their responses to texts and/or emails. It was a pleasure for us to work with Kip and his team and we would definitely recommend them.

Kip's team installed our kitchen wood floor over 3 years ago and while I wasn't as close to that project to review it, I was around when they were hired by our kitchen contractor to make some repairs that the contractor's team had left from moving our fridge. The guy from Kip's team showed up on Tuesday to refinish half of our floor. He was done by 11 am on Wednesday morning and I am not even joking when I say he left it spotless. He was so careful and meticulous to cover openings with plastic and treat appliances with care. I wanted to write a quick review because after having 3 weeks of kitchen work while being a stay-at-home mom with a toddler I was dreading having to move my stuff back out and be kicked out of our kitchen for the floor repair work. Kip's team made it as painless as possible and I am quite grateful that my kitchen is now complete and better than ever.

I thought the service was great. They were really accommodating, there's a couple of hiccups they're pretty understanding about and came to us with the offer to redo it a little bit. Overall I thought they did a great job. I thought the price was very fair.

Kip (Kip's Hardwood Flooring) met with me on New Year's Eve day to look at the project and give an estimate. We were moving into a newly purchased home and wanted to refinish existing floors and add wood flooring to the remaining floors on that level. He offered suggestions that were helpful. After getting other estimates, I decided to go with Kip, as he has been in the business for 25+ years and the wood floor supply company gave him (and a competitor) good reviews. He has a good rapport with people. He was very good about working within our timeframe. He also coordinated with the painters, so they could each get their projects finished before our move-in date. The new floor was intertwined with the existing floor; you can't tell where one ends and the other begins. We wanted a darker stain, so they put down several colors in different areas. The color is perfect! And the overall job was excellent! Throughout the project, Kip was great at answering questions and easily accessible by phone or email. His workers were professional and were great to work with as well. Kip said from the beginning that he may be more expensive than some companies, but he has been in the business for over 25 years and knows his trade very well. (He wasn't the most or least expensive.) I would have to agree. This was money well spent. The quality of work will be enjoyed now and for many years to come.

Kip came over twice, once for a quote and again after we did some unexpected demo. The quote was acceptable, and Kip's came highly recommended so we gave him the job. For the areas we were adding wood, Kip selected a variety of white oak hardwoods to match our existing floors, they are a great match. Work started Monday the 18th and finished Thursday. Mike was the lead for our crew, and he was absolutely great, very nice, very talented, and professional. The crew arrived at 8:45 AM each day, never late. They machined transitions and finishing points on site, and did a masterful job of interlacing the new wood with the existing. They then filled, sanded and refinished everything. The floors are spectacular and my wife and I feel it was the best investment we have made remodeling this house...our first.

They gave us a competitive bid, showed up exactly when they said they would, and finished exactly when they said that they would. The floors look great!

The technician that came out seemed very professional and seemed to know all that was necessary to do the job. I haven't acted on the quote yet because he tended to give me a higher quote than the other companies were giving me.

It went very well. Kip was very accommodating about scheduling a time to give an estimate and planning the actual work. He is friendly but professional. The employee who actually did the work was a great guy - also friendly, punctual and efficient. He clearly takes a lot of pride in his work and it shows. I was surprised how little dust there was, and he cleaned up after himself well. I would definitely recommend Kip's and would use them again in the future.

They were timely. The owner came out and took the measurements himself. Their quote was really high, and we decided not to go with them.

From Bid to beginning of project was about a week, enough time for me to move out my furniture. His crew was professional and timely, Kip certainly has control over his schedule and employees.

Kip arrived on time to measure the living room, dining room, hallway, and family room. We had done much research on hardwood flooring, so we knew what wood we wanted. Kip educated us further on the woods we were considering. He told us exactly what work would be done, and gave us an itemized estimate that same day. Unfortunately, we didn't use Kip, as it turned out that his schedule didn't coincide with ours. We wanted the work done in March, and Kip is heading into a busy spring schedule.

We were extremely pleased with Kip's work 14 years ago. He matched our kitchen floor perfectly with original floor in the adjoining hallway. We knew that this was an old fashioned refiniishing job - sanding plus 3 coats. We were out of our house for a week. We have received many compliments on our floors. They are beautiful and matched throughout the house. The final bill was a little less than the original bid. We recommended Kip to friends 14 years ago and still highly recomend his work.
