They did a good job. They are so busy, they’re so good that you’ve got about a 2 week wait to get in. It’s a small independent company. We paid for that and then sold the car to my son. They have always done great work. My wife and I have been taking cars in there for 4 or 5 years, and they have always done a great job. They are very good. I would say they are very professional. They’re very reasonable on price and they’re trustworthy, and know what they’re doing.
Description of Work: We took in our car to have them go over the whole car. It was a 2005 Prius. They went all over it, they oil filter and the whole works. They checked the brakes and clutch and all that kind of stuff.

Great! Wait was as they said to expect and they had a comfy waiting room (very small but nicely decorated) with wifi. They were candid about what they were doing and answered my questions and concerns fully. They were happy to adjust my price when part availability increased it past the estimate—something I absolutely did not expect when I commented on it. I don't want to say they'll always do this, of course (each case is different), but I do want to say that they're fair and kind, and interested in keeping your business.

If I could rate them higher than an A, I would! Their availability was excellent. They communicated well throughout the process and the car was ready when they said it would be. With each of my encounters there was an unusual twist to the problem. They were great at working with me to fix the problem. When one problem returned quickly, through no fault of theirs, they not only didn't charge me for fixing the problem but went above and beyond to help assure it would not occur again. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Very well. Took my car (1996 Toyota Corolla) in at 8am - Kevin called and let me know exactly what needed to be done around 12:30. The rear brakes were metal on metal, so the drum had to be replaced. Kevin said the car would be done by 4pm. I arrived at 4pm and the car was done and waiting for me. Very satisfied. I feel Kevin is very trustworthy and honest. I will definitely take my car back. This is my third time taking my car there.

My daughter's car shook when driving. We thought it was brakes and rotor. Kevork's checked it out and sent us to get tires - no charge. Next day, my son-in-laws work car would not start - he thought is was the battery, AAA said it was starter and battery. It was the weekend so he had it towed to Kevork's. They concurred and changed both for a reasonable price, in a very timely manner. They are fantastic!

Our older pickup truck had two indicator lights, including the brake indictor light, that would not go off. Kevork's found that the brake fluid was low and that was probably causing the problem. There also was a black splattering on the left front wheel that turned out to be brake pad dust from a caliper not retracting and constantly rubbing on the brake pad. The job to fix this, because both calipers, right and left, and both rotors, right and left, had to be replaced, by law, would have been up to $500. In reviewing their records, Kevork's saw that front brake work had been done within the last two years, including all the parts, just mentioned. It was ALL within warranty. Kevork's fixed the entire front brake problem for me, WITHOUT CHARGE. This was even though the problem was from a part, not their work. Our family has been using Kevork's Auto Care, for a number of years. They have maintained our older vehicles in excellent running condition, saving us a lot of money in not having to buy new cars. Our newer car is now being maintained by Kevork's. As you can see by this review. They stand by their work. And, their work is good. Highly recommended.

Kevin and his crew were excellent. I drove my car into their shop that had a whole host of problems. After initially checking the engine, it was determined that there was a problem with the cylinders. There were several things that could be wrong but the best course of action given the symptoms would be to perform a cylinder compression test to see if the problem was in fact coming from within the engine. It was determined that there was a problem here and given this and the other problems with the engine the best course of action is a complete engine rebuild or swap. What makes Kevork's Auto Care great is that they didn't just say this so I would spend a ton of money with them; they in fact don't replace engines. This means that they were willing to tell me the truth and send me to someone else who could help me with my needs instead of slowly fixing item by item which could cost an arm and a leg! This alone shows how honest this shop really is. The other nice thing was that after quoting me a price of $150 to do the test, I returned to find a bill of only $117.50! Most places would have stuck to their original quote but once again Kevin's morals are bigger then most mechanics. These people come highly recommended by me! :)

I gave the shop carte blanche to do whatever was necessary, including changing out any belts or hoses, in prep for a long road trip. I was surprised to find that their inspection showed only a need to replace a cabin air filter. No unnecessary work was proposed and the work was done quickly. Kudos to the shop for such outstanding integrity and professionalism.

They were busy but squeezed me in as we've become a regular customer. We've become a regular customer because of the trust they've earned through being honest and efficient in recommendations. My dad is a retired mechanic who has agreed witht he things they've advised to have done as well as the things they've advised against. For example, we had an old Jeep. The suggested a few things not be done simply because the jeep was old and not worth the cost to put into it. The only negative is they don't work on weekends. I suppose this is a good thing for them. You have to take a break some time.

They are all very pleasant, especially the people in the office, because I don't really talk to the mechanics. They are very helpful. If they give a quote of what they think it's going to be and it's not going to be that, they would call you and say look, we've run into problems, this is what we found, what would you want us to do, you have a choice of A or B. They're very honest.

I am tickled and I will definitely use their service again. He quoted $425 and the final cost was $419. They came under the price he originally quoted. and it was less than expected. I dropped it off and picked it up six hours later. Their customer service is excellent. They gave me a ride home while they did the work and offered to pick me but I had other arrangements.
Description of Work: I wanted a second opinion on a strange noise in my Volvo. I originally took my vehicle to the Volvo dealer and they could not find the problem. However, Kevork's Auto service found it was a bad wheel bearing. As soon as Kevin got in the car to drive it, he knew exactly what was wrong.

They did all the tests they could perform for this problem. In the end, it turns out that only Toyota dealers have the diagnostic tools to perform all the tests, and my car needs those tools to fix the problem. Kevin originally quoted about $150 to perform the test procedures. But after spending all that time and effort, he wasn't able to fix the problem. Cost to me: zero, nada, zilch. That doesn't seem fair to Kevorks, and it was totally amazing to me. I'd bring a car back to these folks in a New York minute, and you bet I will!

I called ahead for a rough number, but they said they had to see the car, so I took it over. He looked it over, jotted some things down, and said he'd call me back. A few hours later, I called and told him that I needed some additional services (winterizing, LOF, etc), and he said he'd research it and get back to me. Never happened. I kind of expected him to lift the front end to check the suspension - maybe rock the front wheel back and forth, which is the way one would test to see if the car needed ball joints, which is what I went in there for. I finally took it to another shop, and they gave me a price for if it needs both upper and lower, and if it just needs one or the other, which seems a reasonable way to do it. They're actually going to do the inspection and let me know, which is more along the lines of what I expected. The other shop is also well rated on Angies list. I have to say I'm disappointed. If they don't want to do it, they should just say so, so I can move on.
Description of Work: I guess they didn't want to do the job. I wish they would have just told me that. I even called back, but he said "he'd get back to me." So I went somewhere else.

There was a bit of a misunderstanding about the price. I had been shopping around for the best price on replacing my drive shafts. (Ed's Mufflers and Brakes: $366 for both shafts, Les Schwaub: $360 for both shafts.) Kevork's quoted me $350, so I scheduled an appointment. The day I had the work done, I came in to pick my car up and pay for the work, and was very surprised to find that the bill was in the neighborhood of $650, and that the $350 price that I had understood was for both drive shafts, was actually the per-drive shaft price. It didn't help that the office person I spoke to was very insistent that he had explained all this to me over the phone several days previous. (That conversation never happened -- I think he had me confused with someone else. I had set up the appointment in person.) Now, this is probably all just an honest mistake. I'm pretty sure I asked if the price was for both drive shafts, but I could be mis-remembering my original conversation or I mis-heard something he said, and in any case I don't have a written quote. I should have confirmed the price when I dropped the car off, just to make sure there was no misunderstanding, but I didn't. I'd be wiling to give this all a pass if Kevork's price was in the same ballpark as what the two other shops I went to quoted me (in all cases, these were for new drive shafts), but it wasn't. If I had known in advance what the real bill was, I would definitely have gone to one of the other shops. They agreed to knock a little bit off the bill over the confusion; in the end my bill was $600. As far as I know, they're great driveshafts and I have every reason to believe they were competently installed.

This last June, I brought my 2003 Acura TL to their shop to have my headlight repaired. Note: The headlight (low beam) in this year of Acura has three (3) parts -> 1)ballast, 2) ignitor & 3)filament. The shop trouble-shot the problem and found the ballast was out on the driver's side headlight. They replaced the ballast and the headlight still didn't work. I suggested they use the ignitor from the good headlight (passenger's side) to see if it would work. Yes it did. So an ignitor was purchased and the shop asked me directly if they should swap back ignitors (old working ignitor with old working ballast) OR just install the new ignitor with the old working ballast on the passenger's side. I gave them the go-ahead to just leave everything as is.. driver's side -> new ballast, old ignitor; passenger's side -> old ballast, new ignitor. Fine, everything worked for a couple of weeks. Then.. driver's side headlight went out again. Betting on the come, I went online and purchased a new OEM ignitor (for considerably less) and a foglamp lens replacement. (I had noticed my driver's side foglight lens which resides just below my headlight was broken - no fault of Kevorks.) I knew I was going to take it back to the shop for repair of the headlight and since they would have to completely remove the front bumper to get to all of the parts, it would be a convenient time to replace the foglight assembly. I take the Acura back to Kevork's . Yep, it's a bad ignitor on the driver's side, so my wife ( I couldn't be there this time) hands them the owner purchased ignitor AND foglight assembly. The shop installs everything and doesn't charge me anything.. zip, zero.. nada. I'm thinking, Wow, this is service! Forward a week or two later, I hear a knocking noise coming from under the car at around 40 mph. Look under the car. There were hardly any fasteners securing the fairing under the engine and it was flapping as the car got up to speed. I opened up the hood and found the fairing over the front of the radiator was broken with 1/3 of it missing, plus missing fasteners. I had checked under the hood after my first shop visit and noticed one or two fasteners missing, but there was no way the radiator fairing could have broken just from air pressure. It had been broken either when the mechanic had removed or replaced it during the 2nd headlight repair. I called the shop and emailed them pictures of the damage. So here's the good news. Kevin (I believe he's an/the owner) apologized multiple times and took full responsibility for the issue. Told me to bring the car in and he would replace everything with new. Which he did!! As a side note, the employee which had worked on my Acura, works there no longer. Moral of the story? I guess we're all human and not perfect 100% of the time. All I know, these folks seem to be honest hard working people and I will continue to bring them my vehicles for service and repair.
