hardwood floor

Description of Work: When I called and asked the owner if he had any time in the near future to schedule work for me, he said that he did, and we arranged for a site visit. When he showed up, I got a quote from him on the job, refinishing a long scratch that was all the way down my hallway. When he realized that it was going to be a small job, he didn't want to commit to a time to do it, saying he was on another job and would get back to me. A few days later, he called and said that he was delayed with his other job, so wouldn't be able to do mine. Nice.

+ -1 moreWe're happy with the results. The house does not have air conditioning and he was here on the hottest day of the summer so it took longer than it would have otherwise. It was completely understandable and he explained everything to me.
Description of Work: Johnson Wood Floors sanded and finished about 400 square feet of wood floors.

+ -1 moreAs a part of my kitchen renovation, Eric replaced my kitchen floor with new white oak hardwood floor to match the 75 year old white oak in the rest of my house. We requested a tung oil finish, which he was happy to provide, even though it meant coming back over the weekend to add the second and third applications. We were so impressed with the result that we asked him to estimate refinishing the rest of the house. Then we were so impressed with how cost effective it was that we decided to schedule the job right away (before we moved in to the house). We couldn't be happier with the result. Eric made our old floors look new and lovely. He's great to work with, professional, and communicates well.
Description of Work: Eric installed a new white oak floor in my kitchen and finished it with tung oil. Then he refinished the 75 year old white oak floors in the rest of my house, also with tung oil.

+ -1 moreAll aspects of the work were outstanding. The hardwood portion looked distinctly better than it had when new, (probably because of a more pleasing stain) and the fir portion was as good as could be hoped, given the age and condition of the wood.
Description of Work: A hardwood floor that had been damaged (warped) by water (kitchen, small hallway, half-bath) and a small bedroom floor that simply needed refinishing were refinished. Half-round molding was installed, finished in the hardwood area, and ready for paint in the fir area.
