Sat. Jan. 17 I took my 94-year old dad's old Rolex watch to Johnson Jewelers. Dad had reported it would only run sporadically. I was told the watch required a few days for evaluation and then 2-3 weeks for repair/servicing. The preliminary repair estimate by the woman who waited on me (a member of the family that owns and operates the company) was $300. It was pointed out to me that this was $100's of dollars less than genuine Rolex service. After several phone calls and a wait of about a week, I was told that the $300 would most likely hold firm, as long as there weren't unexpected problems. I authorized the repairs. Today, Feb. 19, I picked up the watch. It looks like new and it runs fine. The charge was only $100, because no significant repairs were needed. The conjecture was that possibly my dad does not move around enough to keep the watch wound. They tested the watch on a winder and the woman, mentioned above, told me that she wore the watch herself for several days to make sure that it functions correctly. I felt confident that they had competently assessed and worked on the watch. I am satisfied with the repair work and more than satisfied with the price. However, I do not plan to use this company again. They do not return phone calls. I phoned them Feb. 3 to ask for a tentative ready date. I was told someone would call me back but no one did. Phoned again Feb. 10 and emphasized that my father asks me every day if I have an estimated pickup date. Was told, again, that watchmaker would call me back. And no one called. Feb. 11-- same. Feb. 16-- same. No calls at all!! Finally on Feb. 18, I called and left an ill-tempered message including another request for a call and a pickup date. Still no return call. Today, Feb. 19, I called one more time. (Now I'm actually starting to get a little worried.) I reached the watchmaker who said he would determine whether the watch was ready and have someone call me back! Finally I did receive a call, saying the watch was ready and that the charge was only $100. I do not know if the watch required $100 worth of work, as there really wasn't anything wrong with it, but I was glad to get it back, and as I said, it looks terrific. When I picked up the watch, I was treated very kindly and received repeated apologies for the un-returned phone calls.

They were great. They knew what they were doing. They saved me five hundred dollars. I would recommend him to anyone and have already recommended him to friend.

Cool guys running an old family business. They do a great job, cheaply and usually while you wait.

WE ARE SO VERY THANKFUL THAT THEY WERE SO TALENTED AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY WERE ABLE TO FIX OUR CLOCK FOR US. IT WAS MUCH CHEAPER TO FIX THIS, THAN HAVE TO PURCHASE A NEW ONE.
