John E Jennings Wallpaper & Paint

BEWARE!!! If you want someone who wastes your time and then walks out on the job, then John is your man. I requested an estimate for 2'x4' removable wallpaper for our nursery. He said it was a difficult material but he would be able to do it best and would be by at 4 the next day for the estimate. So I took time off while pregnant to be there, no John. No text and he won't answer the phone. He apologizes the next day and says he was under the weather, but he can come by to start Sun. at 10. Come 11:30 John shows up looks at the wallpaper says no, and walks out. I don't understand how this man has anything above an F or why he decided to waste a pregnant woman's time for 2 days for fun. But that seems to be the type of person he is. My original estimate request. - "Hi John! We are currently putting together our nursery and we purchased some removable wallpaper, it is like a big decal with one side that is already sticky, each sheet is 2'x4'. We tested a sample out and it can be removed and repositioned really easily. We want to wallpaper one 8x11 wall, but we are nervous about lining up the pattern. Would love to get an estimate from you for the project. Thank you!

John and I had talked a couple times about a project and arranged for him to install weeks in advance, sending him detailed drawings and product specs before getting a quote. The day of installation he came out, made sure we had enough material and the wall prepped. Unrolled some wallpaper and promptly declared that it was "untrimmed" and that it was "expensive and hand printed" and he would not do the project. I asked for clarification and he basically turned on his heel and left with no explanation. No mention was made about how his estimate might be off or timeline changed. Now I am left high and dry and no install. Shockingly unprofessional for someone who professes to be a wallpaper hanger to be unable to work with good wallpaper.

John and his assistant arrived exactly at the time he said he would and went right to work. They took precautions so that nothing would be damaged or dirty from their work. Both John and is assistant were extremely pleasant and I had no concern having them in my house. I have no reservations in recommending John on the quality of his work. I am also pleased with how he presented himself and with how he ran his business.
