It's been a few years now, but we are still very pleased and highly recommend Jim. he made the disruption as tolerable as possible, kept on schedule, solved any problems that came up in a timely fashion. We would use him again in a minute. We were also happy with Home Depot, but would guess that depends on the particular contractor used by each store.

They helped us design it and did what they said they would do. They kept the place tidy and kept the mess away from the rest of the house. They were punctual and sorted whatever problem we had when we called them. We had slight problem with the guy who was supposed to install the hardwood floor not showing up but they took care of it when informed. There were some glitches once the work was completed but they came and took care of that. I found them responsible and good to deal with. We were very pleased with their work and it was a pleasant surprise to us. Their prices were significantly more reasonable than other quotes we had. The other people wanted to do extra work and didn't want us to keep it simple as we wanted. They listened to what we wanted and did exactly what was expected. Their consultant was excellent too.
