OVERALL, I WAS DISGUSTED WITH THEIR WORK. I hired JE Glaze Construction to install beadboard in the bathroom. They were instructed to install vertical separators in the beadboard every two feet, and they installed the dividers every four feet without discussing the change with me. At the same time, I requested an estimate to redo crown moulding in two bedrooms. I received their estimate, and they started the project and removed the existing crown moulding without my approval. I DID NOT GIVE THEM THE WORK, YET THEY STARTED THE PROJECT. I had another contractor not able to install the kitchen cabinets that had just arrived as part of the kitchen remodel and Glaze Construction was available so I gave them the project. Jon Glaze and his team installed the cabinets wrong, cut out the back of the cabinets at the wrong height for switches and damaged my walls & baseboards during the course of the install. It cost me $1,250 to repair the cabinets and finish the project. It then cost me $1,700 to repair the baseboards, the walls, and fix the two bedrooms they had removed crown moulding from. And then Glaze Construction demanded full payment for the cabinet install, yet they damaged the cabinets, the walls, the baseboards and only did half of the cabinet install. I had to bring in another contractor to finish the work. Also, I was having the flooring replaced on the first floor and Glaze Construction gave me a bid to repair a section of subfloor that had a rise in it for $2,000. I authorized the work and when I arrived on the project that evening, the contractor had not repaired the subfloor. Instead they covered the entire first floor with 2-3" of plywood. And instead of charging me $2,000 for the repair they wanted $5,000 for the plywood install which I NEVER AUTHORIZED or was even aware of. I WOULD NOT EVER RECOMMEND HIRING JE GLAZE CONSTRUCTION.
Description of Work: JE Glaze Construction was hired to install beadboard in a bathroom and install cabinets in the kitchen. I was also replacing my floors as part of the remodel, and they installed plywood under the hardwoods WHICH I DID NOT AUTHORIZE.
