Description of Work: We ordered the drapes in 2011 in april. they were poorly made, did not hang right and we had to send them back 2 different times and still not rigtht. They had excellent installelrs and they should be commended for their excellent service. Their names were Greg, Rich, Tim and another one I can't remember. We were going to work with them until they wanted payment in full and we didn't want to do that till we had a good product. We are still waiting for our balance to be returned to us.

It took almost a year and probably 8 trips to my home to finally get everything installed correctly. They made errors in measuring and ordering. One time they arrives with the wrong fabric. You name it, it was one mistake after another. They are simply incompetent.

Terrible. Called us nine days later to say curtain rods were unavailable. I was absolutely flabertgasted. They then advised me they couldn't guarantee anything. -On my own I contacted a local company who got me the rod in three days for less money. Then it got worse. The advice on the sizing we got from Penney's was totally inaccurate. That will cost us another 200 dollars. To put it mildly, nobody seems to have a clue. This dept. is in "tatters." Perhaps one of our worst experiences and the management says their "sorry," but does nothing to help. To put it mildly I will go out of my way never to shop here again! Sometimes you get what you paid for and at Penney's that is not much! A failed job just got worse. The blackout insert they recommended for our curtains FAIL to block out the light as promised. After telling us we probably didn't even need them it is almost a shock. Just one more failure to deliver. I am beginning to understand why Penney's fired the person who gave us all this lovely advice!
Description of Work: Recommended curtains and curtain rods. Told us curtain rods would arrive in two weeks and we told them that was critical. We gave them measurements and they guaranteed that curtains would fit if we got panels sewed together with their recommended person (who by the way sewed them perfectly and was a joyous person to behold).

terrible terrible-I needed this rod for a wedding reception party and was originally told such--Apparently other companies who I am now working with say they can get me a rod in two three days-we will see pennys has great prices but they didn't honor the promise they made me-they stated it was beyond their control and they just found out-would have been nice if someone had paid attention to the promise and process--they let the dept. manager go-much to everybodies dismay-especially mine-she was the only who everyone came to when I was there--great move pennys let your best six year employee go--- whats really amazing is that no new or old manager even caught or noticed any of this

OK, there was a price increase due to a missed measurement and the curtain fabrication took a long time.

The service at the Washington Square drapery center is outstanding. The staff was very helpful and patiently answered my many questions. They helped me select the right fabrics and colors for the room and placed the order for items that were out of stock. The draperies are beautiful and very high quality, and the price was fantastic. They told me the same draperies I purchased were being used in a Street of Dreams home and that some designers only use JC Penney draperies. I can see why.

The pictures looked great. The photographer hurriedly took several poses, only one of which I liked. The monitor that you preview photos on is blurry. I didn't care for the manager and her sales tactics. Photos must be purchased at the time of the sitting or the prices increase dramatically. It took over two weeks to get my photos, you have to make an appointment to pickup photos.
