I'm not sure exactly how much time and thought went into this repair, but it was considerable. In the end, it turned out that my (well-reputed) anti-virus software was the culprit. It also resisted uninstalling, but Bob took care of that. Now, I have a computer functioning even better than it did after the previous "repairs" at other shops. I also have a very fairly priced new anti-virus program. In short, this guy does excellent work at a *very* reasonable price. I was only charged for one hour of shop time.
Description of Work: My computer was acting strangely *again*. For the third time in several months, the desktop icons flickered, installing software was impossible, and I could not connect to the Internet. Bob gave my computer a thorough going over, even checking some of the hardware (just to be sure), though this was an apparent software problem. Though I had done several virus and malware scans, he did some more with different software. He then d successfully isolated and fixed the problem.
