Rick got a ton of work for me done. Mostly around installing plywood walls in my shed, the mechanical boiler room and removing old sheetrock walls in various places. He also did an excellent job framing the openings to my carport so garage doors could be installed. I was always very happy with his work and advice on how to get what done.

This is the 2nd time I used Rick. He is always good at communicating with you and provides the bid in a timely manner. He installed a new front door for me and removed some "fake" shutters in the front of my house and replaced with cedar lap siding to match the rest of my house. He even came up with an idea to save me some money on the project - I always appreciate that. I would definitely use him again and I would highly recommend him.

Overall, it was pretty good. Bo is a nice guy who does solid work for the price. There were a couple of things I wasn't blown away with, but compared to some other contractors I worked with, it was a much better experience.

Bo was very accurate in his estimate; speedy, efficient, and professional in his construction; easy to work and communicate with; dealt with minor complications very easily; and executed the work at a very reasonable cost. I purchased my house knowing full well that the roofs over the garage and the short tunnel attaching it to the basement were both rotted through in parts, as well as harboring mold. When I finally had the time and money to take care of this, I called Bo, and looking at his handiwork, I know I made the right choice. He came over to assess the situation and we talked about the best way to fix it - because the rot proceeded through the plywood into some of the beams, and because the grade of the roof was very slight, further encouraging pooling, we agreed that a full rebuild of the roof (frame, ply, roofing) was in order. I talked through a wishlist for the project and beyond the enhanced grade of the new roof we decided to add on gutters and vents, bolt it down for earthquake readiness, and overbuild the frame for future conversion into a living roof. Bo was not just willing to talk about our options but excited to execute our plans, and this phase was very easy; we soon landed on a plan, an estimate, schedule and contract. All within maybe 3-4 days, which was awesome. It inspired great confidence to hear his plan for executing the work, all the vendors he planned on using, etc., right away. The wood was delivered and the next morning Bo showed up with his partner Shen, another licensed contractor (Bo sent his CCB number without me even asking) and got to work insanely fast. The two of them made quick work of my existing roofs, which were off before the afternoon. The frame of the new roof was up by the end of the next day! The whole project took less than a week. I was around to answer any questions as they came up and it was super easy to work with Bo and Shen (both of whom are great guys). The work is really pro, everything is solid as a rock, no rough edges. I honestly think any other contractor would have charged a couple thousand more and taken an extra couple of days to boot, and wouldn't have been so willing to go with me on all the add-ons, so to say I'm happy with Bo's work is an understatement. There was some tidying left to do after Bo left but with my shop vac it took like 10 minutes and I'd be an idiot to hold that against him when the actual work he did was so outstanding, speedy, and affordable. They say between good, cheap, and fast, you can only have one, but Bo proved that wrong by giving me all three!

Rick was fabulous. Though the project seemed straightforward we discovered extensive dry rot and deterioration that required significant additional work. The contractor worked wth us on optimal solutions and cleared his calendar--even working a weekend--to complete the job promptly and well. He billed within his bid--even though he did more than anticipated. We are proud of the result--and pleased with his work.

I found him on Angie's List and when I left a message he returned my call very quickly. He was VERY personable and a pleasure to deal with. I would call on him for any work needed to see if he could handle it before I tried anyone else. There really is nothing else to add as I have nothing but compliments and praise for this wonderful "handy"man!

Well. He called back within 48 hrs. scheduled to come see it, gave a bid (which he stuck to), and completed the work all in a timely manner.

After I stuck my foot through a porch step due to dry rot and carpenter ant damage I decided to replace the front porch and steps and at the same time change the steep pitch of these same steps as well as the ones in the basement. Bo Mandoe was referred to me by another contractor. He arrived and after his inspection provided me with a written estimate and a date for the work to begin. Upon his return to start work he also brought a contract which very clearly described his responsibilities and mine. He began work on the basement steps. In addition to the steps he also installed a hand rail. This was completed in a day and a half. He then began work on the front porch. As the work progressed Bo was very professional in keeping things in order. He set up a shelter in the driveway so that he could work close to the site and cleaned up after himself at the end of every day. He arrived every day when he said he would and worked diligently for the full time he was here. I am delighted with the results. Both sets of stairs are safer and the front porch looks great. The screen door had to be trimmed to fit correctly and works without a hitch. The bathroom door had been rehung three times before Bo worked on it and now, finally, it opens and closes smoothly.
