+ -1 moreWas quoted by Michael that the total cost would be $100 to fix the chimney and replace the damper. He found a chimney cap damper to use instead of fixing the internal chimney damper and spread fresh cement inside of the firebox. It took about 1.5 weeks of irregular arrivals for the work to be completed. Left cement on the patio bricks in the backyard, the door open letting the dog escape, he never lit a fire to see if his work was satisfactory, and charged us 2.5 times the original quote ($250) for the job. The chimney still doesn't work and smokes out the entire house when a fire log is lit. When I called him to resolve the issue he said that it was a "low priority" for him and that he'd already finished the job.
Description of Work: Repairing a chimney that was non-functioning in a house that we had just purchased.
