This was one of the worst experiences with a contractor I've ever had. Less than a year later, after paying thousands of dollars, most of the things that Henry installed are in various degrees of not working, for which I am having to pay now to get them entirely rebuilt and fixed, and he takes no responsibility as soon as he steps off the property. I was worried about this relationship from the beginning, though he had come to me recommended by a friend of mine, when Henry failed to show up for the days we had scheduled for him to begin building my garden beds. I was out of town and returned 3 weeks later, and he never showed up nor communicated that he would be starting late. Then it got from bad to worse. Henry built an outdoor shower system for me where I will now have to deal with pipes that will burst as soon as it freezes here in winter since he did not take care of it or install it properly. Less than a year later, there is a rip in the pond liner that he installed (which he takes no responsibility for), which caused a huge increase in my water bill and would have continued to do so had I not found it. I am now having to pay a large sum of money to essentially get the pond rebuilt. This was a seriously expensive learning situation for me. Not only did working with Henry cost a ton of money, but he took no responsibility for the poor quality of his work, was an evasive communicator during the project and essentially disappeared after it was over, putting all the blame and responsibility on the homeowner.
