Henri Champagne

I hired Henri to do some painting in my first new home based on a reccomendation from my realator. During a walkthru Henri seemed to know a lot about paint colors and brands and I was impressed by the passion that he had for his work. I also liked that he provided the option for me to purchase the paint on my own and charged by the hour instead of simply providing a bid for the entire job. The week before our appointment to start work I tried to contact Henri by phone and email to make sure that we were all set. I grew worried when I couldn't get in contact with him. On the Saturday before the Monday that he was to start work I recieved a voicemail from Henri indicating that he was in Seattle and would not be able to do the job. He did appologize in the message, but I was super dissappointed because I had rescheduled floor refinishing contractors to work around his availability and pushed back our move out date. It would have been much more professional if he had given notice of cancelation at least a few days earlier so that I could have tried to arrange another painter. His message indicated that since my paint job was not 'an emergency' that it should be okay.
