Description of Work: We wend to Henderson Turf & Wear to purchase a ride-on lawn mower. I purchased one they highly recommended. They delivered it on the promised date and I thought all would be well. I have several problems with the mower. The first problem occurred after the first use. I called them and they were unsympathetic and would not help me correct the problem. I eventually turned to a neighborhood mechanic, who fix the mower. Henderson Turf & Wear was great through the purchase process, but when the problems began they were unresponsive, then very rude. I would never purchase anything from them again.

Description of Work: They don't stand behind their product. Once they have your money, it is good-by, see you later. I will never do business with these people again.

Description of Work: Lawnmower leaking gas, called, they could see it right away; took it in and they called up within a week that the problem (a leaky seal) was repaired. The cost was less than we expected and the turnaround time was about one month less than the last place we had it repaired about a year ago- who by the way did not fix the problem.

Description of Work: I called them up about a concern I had about my mower. They were patient in listening, knowledgeable in reviewing the possibilities, and ethical in recommending that I probably did not want to bring it in. Very impressed with their helpful and positive attitude.

Description of Work: Reconditioned my lawn mower. They did a great job. The wait was long but it was at the height of there season. they told me when it would be and they delivered on time.

Description of Work: Took an older mower in for tune up in mid March waited two weeks picked up mower, costs $110.00. It worked fine for three weeks then wouldn't start. Took it back to have it checked out. They rebuilt the Carborator for a cost of $ 92.50. When I returned to pick up the mower I was surprise at the costs exceeding $ 200.00 on the two repairs on an older mower. I explained to Alex I was concerned, as If I knew the cost were going to be this high I wouldn't have had them do the work. After a short conversation Alex asked me if I would accept a credit on the old mower if I wanted to buy a new one and not pay the second service charge. I agreed and purchased a new mower with a Honda motor. Alex was very professional and resolved this situation in a fair manner. I will return and do more business with them as they really did work to resolve this situation.

Description of Work: I purchased my commercial-grade riding mower from Henderson Turf years ago and have them thoroughly go through it every few years. This includes a complete engine tune-up, replacing/sharpening the blades, replacing belts and hoses as needed, etc. I have always had an excellent experience. Alan will come to my house (approximately 45 miles away), pick up the mower, fix it, and return it when it is done. They always return the old parts and tell me when things do not need replacing.

Description of Work: I had purchased a low cost power washer several years ago and have been experiencing a loss power when attempting to use it the past few months. They asked me questions about exactly what the washer was doing and the number of hours I had used it etc. It was determined that the pump was gone. Based on the fact that I had already exceeded the normal hours of used that my washer was manufactured for, and the amount of work I needed to perform on a regular basis, we decided that the best decision was to purchase a new or used washer that was built for heavier use than the one that I had. They were very careful to make sure that I knew how to operate the new washer and let me practice that before it was loaded into my car. They explained how to care for the washer and suggested products to help give the pump a longer life. They asked about my use and suggested the appropriate attachments to make my work easier. One attachment I needed was not in stock, but they ordered it and agreed to ship it to me free of charge, since I live a distance from their shop.

Description of Work: Repaired and did a complete tune-up on my Sears Craftsman lawn mower, including replacing gaskets, fuel filters, air cleaners, etc., and sharpening the blade.
