John Hatch and his colleagues are very professional and patient. I was looking for my first home about for a year, and he never pushed me to buy a home. He did care about my satisfaction on whole buying process including choosing right house. Hatch is very professional on his work, and I could avoid over-paying for a house thanks to his clever way to make an offer. He always suggest market statistics as a guide line rather than emotionally agitate his customer to accelerate the buying. I will definitely come back to Hatch's group when I need to buy/sell a house.

My husband and I live in New York and after working with Angela Stevens for 7 months we finally found exactly what we were looking for and inside of our budget. Because we were unable to physically view properties, Angela did everything that she could to get us all the information that we needed. This included taking videos of each of the properties we were interested in, scheduling friends and family to check out the property on our behalf, and making repeated visits to the property to answer any latent questions that needed addressing. I've worked with several real estate agents in the past and would say that Angela was by far the most receptive and responsive to any feedback that we gave her. From the very beginning she sent us listings that were targeted specifically towards the specifications we had given her. As time passed, and our criteria changed, Angela easily adapted the listings that she was sending us. If she did send us listings that we were not interested in, she was always sure to get our feedback and she clearly used that feedback to further refine what she sent. During our search, we made offers on three or four different properties and felt like the advice that Angela gave us for each one was really appropriate. We also found that her personal experience with investment properties was very helpful. We can't thank Angela enough for her diligence, patience, and persistence during our search as well as during our closing processes.

John did virtually nothing to market it. He did not list the all the upgrades and updates which had been done to the home. Things were done to the home that were not obvious, new 95% efficiency furnace, new plulmbing, and much more. He had 6 people come to his broker's open house-property tour. I thought it was when our other broker had only 24. John thought 6 people were good. Then when there was a buyer he sent an email to communicate and offer, he did NOT call. I found the email a day and a half after the offer was made and the offer had expired. I was angry and "thought" I made it clear I wanted a phone call when anything happened on the house. We were no longer living in it. We countered the offer, the buyer countered our counter. Again, John sent an email and did NOT call; it took me another day to find the counter and call him to ask about it. He never kept us informed during the inspection, appraisal, financing, and closing process. Our tenant called us to tell us what was happening. He did not protect our rights and allowed the buyer to take possession before we could remove all our property. This isn't the way real estate is done today. At the same time we had another house for sale 100 miles away with another Realtor. She kept in continual contact. She called sometimes just to say nothing was happening.
Description of Work: John Hatch of Hatch Homes Group under Keller Williams listed our home for sale. The house did sell, but it was disasterous. This isn't the way real estate is done today. At the same time we had another house for sale 100 miles away with another Realtor. She kept in continual contact. She called sometimes just to say nothing was happening.

Response from Hatch Homes Group
Wow, This is amazing. With many 100's of transactions I have never had anything like this from a client. The truth is the home had been listed with another agent the previous year for 151 days and not sold. We sold it in 29 days in a depressed market. This is how we did it:- 1) We commissioned quality professional photos and produced a great virtual tour. 2) Worked with the tenant to stage the home. 3) Produced a custom movie. 4) Featured and showcased the home on the top websites i.e. Realtor.com, Zillow and Trulia. This is very expensive but produces thousands of hits more than the average listing. As most people are making their viewing short list on-line and not visiting as many open houses we put a big priority on this. 5) Syndicated the listing to 100's of other Real Estate sites and featured on our web sites - especially www.HatchHomes.com 6) We launched a direct mail campaign to people in the neighborhood - we find these people can often refer us to their friends and family. 7) We contacted agents who have recently been active listing or selling in the price range. 8) We contacted all top producing agents who like us are in the Masters Circle (used to be the Million Dollar Real Estate Group). 9) We networked with all KW agents. Our office is the largest and highest producing office of ANY BROKERAGE office in the Portland Metro area. 10) We attached a PDF to the listing explaining all the updates that had been done and produced quality custom flyers. 11) We advertised held brokers open with giveaways and food to attract as many agents as possible. The turnout was reasonable FOR THE AREA but not great. 12) We held public opens which I personally like but are generally not a big source of buyers in today's age. So why is the seller unhappy so many months after the sale when they seemed pleased with the results when I attended the closing with them? Well we did have communication challenges. (Member name removed) had computer problems and was challenged getting the email reports that I sent and reviewing some pictures. (Member name removed) cell phone did not work in her house plus we had a 3 hour time difference. The purchaser was a savvy investor and negotiations were challenging. When there was a delay in communicating the offer to (Member name removed) I was satisfied to use this as a tactic with this buyer who had put in a low offer. The tenant who was a personal friend of the seller and kept in touch regularly was well informed of the proceedings with inspections and appraisal etc. (Member name removed) was a very demanding personality and she seemed to change depending upon the time of day. I was however able to completely protect her rights and safeguard her possessions despite her written commitment to a close date that at the last minute did not suit her. I love Real Estate and helping people and it has upset me greatly to get a review like this but it helps me grow and improve and continue to wonder at the different personalities and how real estate transactions deeply affect our lives. What a fun profession!
